Glad you got home safely, Jo!

Poor sleepy Bunny!

That life experiences thing should work out well for Steph if she pursues a teaching degree.
She worked as a nanny!

Morning Dot!
I was just saying to DH that my time frame is between now and our WDW trip at the end of October. The only things I want to have facing me when we get back is just basic routine cleaning and getting ready for the holiday season.

Hi Dan! Good for you in getting more education! What will your degree be in?

HOLIDAY season? Say it ain't so! I don't want to think about that yet!

Good morning, Sweet Bunny!
Hope you can get some rest today.

Lordy, no!
Halloween decorations should be popping up in the stores any time now, though.

I've seen Halloween candy out already...:lookaroun

It'll be November when we get back from Florida! Sorry, didn't mean to freak ya out there!

Ah.. still, TOO early!

They're already here - and so are some of the Christmas ones!
I haven't seen the Christmas ones yet myself, but I will soon, I'm sure.

Ok, it's been over a week since we last did laundry. Plus I really didn't start laundry until about 10:00 last night.

:sohappy: Soon the kids will be in school and I can start decorating my house.

I only do laundry once a week...

Got to go - I'm not sure how much I'll be on today - seems the family needs me!

Bye Fishy!

I'm going too.
I have to start printing the response cards that go out with the wedding invitations. Tomorrow I print the address labels. Wednesday everything gets mailed. Then I start working on the programs and place cards.

 Morning. I'm home sick today. :( Throat is killing me, and my stupid leg kept waking me up last night. Going to try and get into the doctor this afternoon (they don't open til 12:30  )
Steph, I am right there with you...I have about three years of college 'experience', but no degree. All I learned from college was that I didn't want to spend my life in a cubicle. I go over my options now that the kids will be in school full-time, but I can't really afford school, and I can't work in the summer when the kiddos are home. So, for now, my plan is to turn into Super Homemaker! :lookaroun If I ever went back to school, it would be related to art in some way.
Thanks, Jenny. I think my biggest problem w/ school, especially when choosing a major in the first place, was that all I knew that I really wanted to be when I "grew up" was a Mom. :o The $$ would be a factor in going back, but I think we could swing it...maybe not the same year as paying for a wedding but we'll see.
Not a dumb question, I wished I had a someone to hold my hand and quide me through college each semster. I feel like the village idiot when I try to sign up for classes because I never do it right. :hammer:

You'll need to figure out which college you are interested in going to. (If online is what you want you don't need to pay the high prices of those advertised, many colleges offer online courses a lot cheaper.) Then have the college re-evaluate your credits based on your degree. As for the life credits these can give you additional credit hours based on what you have done in life, i.e. my military career gave me credits for all off the gym credits as well as many others like english from my miliatry paralegal degree, etc.

I'll be glad to help out in any way I can. Don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have questions.
Thanks, Dan. :) I think I would probably go for an Early Childhood degree instead of Elementary Ed. I know it limits my options, but I would rather be w/ the Pre-K level. And I'm sure I could get at least some kind of "life credits" for 6 years of nannying. I mean what better way to learn about Early Childhood Development than helping to raise 3 sets of kids?

Oh Steph, I'm sorry to hear your still not feeling well. ((HUGS))

You sound exactly like me - I knew I wanted to marry Mike and have kids, but nothing else. It has taken me this long to realize that what I would really be fulfilled doing isn't necessarily something a college degree would give me. Not that college isn't important - it opens doors and gives us the opportunity to learn - but my interest, in art and art history, doesn't necessarily make me 'employable', in the traditional sense anyway. My classes at the art center have shown a part of me that I have surpressed for too long - artistic expression is becoming more important to me. I have missed it this summer :( , but I will resume working in clay this fall.
Don't know if this makes sense - maybe if I had a degree,it would.
