Trip Report SummerPalooza: When 1 resort reservation morphs into 5 resorts

We have had a few trips this year that were odd for us. The trip where my family had to end their vaction but I stayed on for 3.5 more weeks. I didn't even book a return ticket. This report will start out mostly of semi in-the-moment of the day posts at least for the first half of 3 weeks as we all will be arriving at different points. Like the above report I am not overly wordy but enjoy posting photos of WDW and Food along with adult beverages. Sometimes a tad odd to me behaviors in the parks.

This trip kept expanding in days and as a result resorts this time for reasons I will get around to explaining later, for now mostly photo's of the day. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you. I just had to zip through this trip report as it is now a blur as to what I've posted and what I skipped.

My first Halloween party shirt. This is a linen blouse and a designer at that. Given winter clothing is out it was a steal. It was so cool and light to wear given the high temps and humidity

We were scheduled for our annual trip long ago, this is generally the long trip of the year.
But add in my DD works for a University and is attending yet another University for their Masters program in Computer Science Engineering. By the stars aligning she was pluck to attend a conference and convention just prior to our scheduled trip doubling the length. Being Annual Passholders it also added spare time to visit the parks

Convention Center Contemporary conference. 2/3 attending were Disney analytics and computer sciences employees.

Note CM with her service pup. Disney is embracing.

Breakfast and lunch were served, break snacks and a very special dinner one evening

Between keynote speakers there was always some type of a lead up entertainment. Renowned experts were brought in to speak

The evening event was kept close to the vest by Disney. It was clearly articulated that this was an attendee only event and no family or guests could be added. Many attending had family members in their Resort rooms so they got out beforehand. You would be picked up by motor coach and needed your ID to board.

They by motor coach took a tour of the backstage area street of Epcot. Last landing at the former Millenium Village Pavillon and now used for Special Events and renamed
World Showplace. Dinner was played from both Jiko and Boma restaurants att the Animal kingdom Lodge Resort. DD said everything was very good

Disney brought in Characters with full backdrops for the evening. We are a camera shy family so face omitted.

Loaded back on Motor Coach and an evening of Desserts and MK view Fireworks and Water Pageant

And there was more of the same. It was time for the conference to conclude. For the closing they brought in the dancers and musicians from Animal Kingdom Africa as a send off. That photo was Blurg so here is one of the group preforming at AK park

But the announcement of next years Analytics conference was made. It will be held at the new Coronado Springs convention area. This was met with overwhelming sighs, moans, groans and general displeasure. It was Duly noted by Disney. Wonder if they will rethink given the response. The resorts housing this conference were Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary and the Grand Floridian. I understand the displeasure with the Coronado, it isn’t a lateral move or a step up.

Yah, they're really trying to push the meeting groups off to the more "convention" lodgings in the moderate range. Just glad that your DD got in on the last wave here. By the way, I think I heard once that the guest rooms at the Contemporary were the largest on property? Is that true? From the photos you shared above, they sure look spacious.

By the way, I think I heard once that the guest rooms at the Contemporary were the largest on property? Is that true? From the photos you shared above, they sure look spacious.

They are huge rooms at the Contemporary. Bizarre set up for a hotel bathroom though makes sharing more difficult. Maybe Shades of Green rooms could be as large. It was decades ago when I was little that we stayed there long before it went Military. But they are spacious too.

They are huge rooms at the Contemporary. Bizarre set up for a hotel bathroom though makes sharing more difficult. Maybe Shades of Green rooms could be as large. It was decades ago when I was little that we stayed there long before it went Military. But they are spacious too.

Love the rooms at Shades. Mostly for the amount of space and the walk to Poly

The dress is a Lula Roe. They travel very well. She stalks many of the consultants FB pages for sales and give always. She has about 20. My favorite is her Small World and Her SSE dresses. She generally pays $10-15 each. Leggings about $7-10. She learned from the master on never paying rack rate. Current stalking is the Mine Mine Mine leggings.

I was just reading a new members 1st trip ever at 50y with is wife at Shades. He antidotes casually walking between Shade and Poly noting an alligator swimming in the pond between the resorts.

I still lay claim to being most taken a back by the baby gator in the middle of the walkway at the MK between Barnstormer and Space. Just sunbathing away this past spring.

Very cool. I hear good things about Lula Roe. One of our para-professionals used to sell it and then when all the Disney stuff started to come out she stopped selling! That's when I would have started buying it. I'm sure there are some other people in our area that sell, but I'm too lazy to find them.

She has a collection of consultants on FB and just watches for sales and clearances.
Many consultants just selling off to close their business. They hold up
So well washing machine and hangs up wet and dry in a few hours. I’d say about half of her collections are Disney themed.
