Yay!

Hello, Dorothy!

How are you today, Sweets?

Oh I have!
And I will continue to do so.
I just wasn't expecting this.

So. . .
How is everyone else today?
Not too bad. I've been getting that pain in my leg again this morning. I called my doc's office and told the nurse about it, and she said that it happens sometimes when people take their first yoga or pilates class. Something about your muscles/nerves not being used to stretching like that, and it being easy to pull one. I told her that this pain is so intense and causes me to double over and not be able to breathe and she says "oh yeah, it can be like that". Said that it just has to heal itself and that I can take Ibuprofin and put heat on it to help.

 I dunno....
Hey Freddie! Didn't make it out to the beach this weekend. :( We'd heard it was supposed to rain Saturday so we planned to go Sunday...then that's when it rained.

Eh.
I'm off, but I don't feel that good.
And we're getting ready for the arrival of my aunt and uncle.
They're both very irritating.
They're staying here three nights.
Plus two nights at the hotel.
And then I think they'll be at my grandma's for one or two nights.
So, I'm busy getting ready for them.

It rained on both Saturday and Sunday here.
Got released from work an hour early on both days.

Speaking of weddings, this may be a random question, but who is escorting Lauren down the aisle at the wedding?

Just her dad.
I've been to weddings where both parents do it and it just seems awkward.
And I really think that should be their moment.
I'd much rather watch it. . .

Hello.
Happy Anniversary to my Nibblies and her What's-His-Face.

I just got home from Lauren's shower and it was fantastic.
Maybe the nicest shower I've ever attended.
And, Nibblies, my book was such a huge hit!
Lauren cried and all the guests loved it too.

Thank you Dot!

And I'm so glad that the book was such a success and that I got to help play a small part in it! :D

Happy Anniversayr to Nibbs and WHF!

Thank you!

Happy Anniversary Nibbs!!!
Thanks Amy! We had a wonderful day. We watched a few movies (Thank You For Smoking and Little Miss Sunshine) that I had Tivoed. We went to a local water park for a few hours and then we went out to dinner to Longhorn, which was where we went on our first date. :D

Thanks!

Speaking of which. . .
My friends from here in our complex chipped in and gave Lauren a tissue box.:lookaroun

BUT. . .when you pulled out the first tissue, it was connected to a dollar bill, which was connected to another bill, and then another etc., etc. Nice gift!

Well that's creative!

Happy Anniversary Nibbles!
Today at work, one of my coworkers got annoyed and said loudly, "Sweet nibblets!"
I couldn't help but smile.

Thank you Freddy!

And yeah, I think of myself all the time when I hear that. :lookaroun Who knew that would become a catchphrase.

That turned out well...naturally rotten little me's first reaction would have been "A tissue box! How....thoughtful."

I'm actually just as rotten as you b/c I would have thought the same thing.

Poor Dave...it's going to be hard for him but it really needs to be done. Believe me, she already knows she has a problem, and we can hope that hearing it from someone else will give her the impetus to get the help she needs. Even if he only plants the seed, there is a chance that it will grow. Alcoholics are among the most brilliant liars in the world - they lie to themselves and other, put so much energy into maintaing their drinking. If she does get sober, she will be amazed at her life once she redirects that energy into something positive.

What you said there is exactly right. 100% correct.

Me too! They're buying a brand new house in Jacksonville - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, all one floor. It looks sooooo nice, but we want to be a little farther South.

That's where WHF wants to move to. In like a year. He wants to work at the Hyatt down there.

So I went to Epcot today... let's just say things aren't better between us.

Oh...well darn. Guess you'll just have to go with me and I can make it fun! :D

I'm hoping for a punctual kiddo... I don't think I can handle much more of this heat. My feet are sooooo swolen these days. And my ankles look like tree trunks.

Having house guests can be stressful.
Even if they're not irritating to begin with.

Yes.
You are absolutely right.
But it'll be worth it, because the whole family will be congregating for the weekend.
When I say whole, I mean, first, second, third, and fourth cousins.
Plus the grandparents, great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles, etc.
It'll be fun!

Dave's niece had both parents do it because it's "so barbaric" for the father to give his daughter away.

Did I mention she majored in Women's Studies?

I thought it really looked awkward, and there's such a height difference in the 3 of them that it looked liked a Cingular ad! :ROFLOL:

Oh and you will be bawling your eyes out.

That's the plan! :) :)

Oh...I guess now I should say hi!

Thanks, Steph.
I'm not good at saying no and they're not making it easy, but I'm really looking forward to staying up past 8PM again.
OT sorta:
Wawa's new Creme Brulle Cappuccino is to die for!
It tastes like a toasted marshmallow!
Ooooo, that sounds delicious!! :slurp: :slurp:
