At least they all look like pics from POTC to me. :shrug:

Ok...it appears that no2apprentice's was not taken with a flash (see how it's more yellow. If it had been taken with a flash it would have more of a white, brighter haze to it. Just look at JCorduroys to see the difference.

I may not be as talented as PhotoDave...but I do know a little bit. And he's right...there are a few that used flash. I do need to look at the other two though.

I could never tell the difference just from looking at them.

I guess thats what the movement setting on my camera does. I've taken photos from moving rides and cars, kids running, and parades and not have them been blurry.

I still stink at nighttime and firework shots though.

Yes...that is what the movement setting tries to accomplish. Now...the nighttime and fireworks photography, that is one I've still not mastered, but I've got an idea and plan to try to play with it in Sept.

I could never tell the difference just from looking at them.

Yeah...I know you didn't. I was just saying I'm nowhere near PhotoDave. He does know his stuff. Luckily I know enough to know how to keep up with the rules of the contest. And telling the difference by just looking is usually one of them.

It doesn't matter much to me ( I never win these things anyways). I don't want it to seem like I'm out to accuse people of anything. I just noticed that those 4 were from POTC.

I'm going to do that also. I tried the old lean on the garbage can/put your camera on the garbage can and I had some improvement. I need to see if I can get a remote setup so I'm not even toughing the camera.

I've improved, but not enough for my liking.
