Summer Magic with All Our Friends

I've been sleeping a little better since Marc and I packed up and moved to the basement. The bed's SMALL down there, but it's at least 7-10 degrees cooler than our bedroom, so that makes a big difference.

Still, some good days and bad.

How's everyone?

Glad to hear you are sleeping a little better.

They found my friend that was missing. They think she got swept away by flood waters as she was still in her car with the seatbelt still on.l We don't have to worry now but it is still heartbreaking for us all.

No they're driving - it's supposively a 9 to 10 hour drive from here.

Well, there you go! Have them drop you off en route and we'll head to Amish country and buy some fudge! :animwink:  Also, hit about a hundred craft/antique malls and skirt the tourists who come to gawk at the A-meesh.

Sounds like fun, but they'd have to strap me to the roof.....

Anyway - got to go count $$$. Talk to you all later.

Yay! Amish country's fun! We head up there at least once every other month... to shop the outlets of course! :lookaroun

Actually there's this AWESOME Amish store where they sell bulk goods. I make a killing on a lot of my staples... Cake flour for 60 cents a pound!

Yea it is hard. Now I want to know exactly how she died. I am hoping she had a heartattack before the floods got her. I hope she wasn't scared.

Yes, we're about 15 minutes away from the beginning of Ohio's major Amish community. So, every Thurs./Fri. the RV's start rolling through. We have a great bulk food store over here too. I've been to PA's Amish country also - I remember Strasburg, Pa. It was interesting comparing the two. Lancaster is a fairly large city, with outlying rural areas. Ohio's is more a rural collection of small towns geared toward the tourist trade.

You really don't want me to open up this can of worms. George and I have not talked to each other in 3 days. I am fighting with my family. And the same damn problems that don't seem to have an end to anything.

Poor Dan. I hate fighting... but 3 days?? Goodness! You know what they say about not going to bed angry... I wish we could help!

Huh. I don't even notice the Amish anymore actually... I just go there for the shopping, and barely blink when we pass one on the road.

I am just a ball of anger lately, but I have not once snapped at anyone (amazingly).

We are just arguing over family. And everytime I want to talk to him, I just get angrier. I don't want to get into a huge fight with him, so I haven't brought up anything.
