You can upgrade the 2 when you get thee though, I'm pretty sure. You might want to PM JPVondrake about it - he's always been good about answering my questions.

I'll definitely consider that. The thing is, I've been focusing on my January trip so much, I keep forgetting about October. :hammer: :hammer: By the time school's back in session, we'll only be a little over two months away.

*reminds self to check packing list*

Oh my she reminds me of my old dog lady!

Sorry I was out I just had my first person come in and give me their deposit on the BUS trip :sohappy:

I know Jenny. My Cousin son is ADHD and people do not understand. She was so upset about putting him on all those meds. So we tried changing his diet and it was working but when she moved out of my house no one at my Grandma wanted to put in the effort so there he is again back on all those meds.

Drop him off to her for an hour and say I just need to run some errands. whoo hooo

I don't remember it was 2 years ago. plus she bought some supplements that they said he was probably deficent in. But it was working. you know they went with us in May to WDW and he was the best kid in the bunch. I think that he has a touch of Autism too. He gets fixated on one object for long periods of time and has a fit if he can not find it. Plus is is really really smart he remembers ALOT! right now he is 6

he can sit and color for hours. I sent him these cards in the mail that have different creatures on them. instead of saying like that is a spider he says that is a tranatualla (spelling). Etc... he knows the exact name of everything .

One theory is that kids with ADD/ADHD are at the higher functioning end of the autistic spectrum, so that doesn't really surprise me. Does he like to line things up or focus on things that spin, like wheels?
We have a list of supplements our alternative specialist recommended as well as that diet. Problem is, we can't get him to take meds (unless they're the fast melt kind), and if we add them to foods he immediately notices the difference. And the diet is HARD. The things he shouldn't eat are the ones he craves, to the exclusion of all other foods. Right now I admit I'm picking my battles, and working with his food has been a defeat for me. But someday, who knows?

yes... But his favorite is this stuff bat. He keeps a sock on his head and he puts bandaids on his legs. This thing is rough looking but he takes it everywhere. My grandmother got a arrangement for X-mas and it had a gingerbread man in it. Well he threw a fit til they gave it to him. He sat for 3 hours just tracing GBM.

Awwww.....she is more like the lab with the short hair and square head and the coloring of the springer. My dad's was the other way around, black and white curls.

and she isn't a pup so she wouldn't adjust too well either. You are doing the right thing to keep her with family.

i agree she looks older. I bet she will make a nice addition to the family. Do they have any other pets? I know Betty is gone now.

Sounds like art might be his strong suit - that should be encouraged at school and home. There's a story I remember reading of a boy up near Cleveland who is autistic, but started doing art therapy, and now is selling work. He's a teenager, needs a personal aide, I think, but makes enough from his paintings to put money into a trust fund for his future care.

Well, lunch is approaching, need to feed the kids. Also need to clean out the pantry, fridge, freezer. I'll be back later today!
