the past 36 minutes have been BRUTALLY slow

Hi Joe

So tonight is Joel's second parent-teacher conference of the year. Kind of a prelude to our annual IEP in May....it will help me look forward to what I want in that for his second grade year. Testing is coming up too...that makes me nervous...just because his results aren't likely to be an accurate portrayel of where he's really at academically.

Hi Jenny!

Good luck with the conference tonight.

Sometime in April - the one date I'm sure of is a handwriting test on the 21st. He's made so much improvement in that area, but I don't know if it's an age appropriate level, y'know? One of the many questions I'll have tonight. I also hope to determine whether extended school year hours will be necessary for him again this summer. I'm just afraid he'll regress if he doesn't have some sort of professional guidance.

Yeah that is entirely understandable. So he is currently in the first grade?

Yep - and so far his 'grades' have remained steady (they don't start letter grades till next year, I think) - all goods, satisfactories, and very goods. I just wish I could package up his teacher and have her follow us throughout his school career. She has been AWESOME.

Aw...I hope all goes well tonight Jen!

No worries...in fact I have funny picture I'm taking to the conference. My SIL gave me an old negative of Joel when he was about 20 months old. He decided to sit on one of her cats, like he was going to ride it. :lookaroun And the cat let him. So there are two pics, one of which is both the cat and Joel looking at the camera. :ROFLOL::ROFLOL:I thought his teacher would get a kick out of it. :D
