Joe...refurb is from April 19 - Nov 22 I think...with rumors that it might last longer than Nov, but that's the date Disney's released.

Oh and so glad I don't live up north...it's been in the 50s and 60s here for the past week and looks to be continuing that trend. Yay! :)

Thank you Nibbs! :)

Yeah... it's going down for a while. And the TTA too. I got in one last ride before they potentially destroy it. :brick:

You mean you've never read one of my never-ending trip reports??

Lots of pics in there... Only good ones. I don't post bad pics of me too often. :lookaroun

Awwwww I love TTA...

And... :o No I haven't... and I'm upset I haven't!!!

I'm looking forward to the one for this trip!!! :D

Steph:

I'm catching up and thought you might like to know what I sent Chrissy:

I got a bottle of generic baby detergent, that I used until it was gone, but since then I've been using ALL Free and Clear. Anastasia has HORRIBLE excema and that's the only thing that doesn't make her itchy. It's WAY cheaper than Dreft or even other baby detergents that are specifically "baby". All you really need is a dye/fragrance free kind. At least for a while. And NO fabric softners.

Hopefully your kiddo won't have a strong reaction to the world, and you can go back to using your regular detergent in a few months. But for the first few months it's a good idea to ease them into the chemical world we live in.
Yeah, I think we'll use the Purex that's dye/fragrance free. We use Purex now and like it. I'm not a fan of the smell of Dreft anyway.

Did you use any different household cleaners at first too?

I don't really use a lot of chemical cleaners to begin with. Lots of Borax, Baking soda and vinegar (not together obviously) Just as long as you're well ventilated, you should be fine. Oh, and don't let the baby get to the Windex. You'll want him sober for a while first.. :lookaroun

Soooo slipping a little into his bottle to calm him down would not be advised? :lookaroun

That might just do the opposite

However if he's colicy, I wouldn't blame you for trying :lookaroun

OH, you need to rent the DVD The Happiest Baby on the Block, or read the book if you've got the time. Useful stuff there. The book's good, but the DVD is a nice cliff's notes version for the time-impaired

I have the book flagged on Amazon but maybe I'll look into the DVD instead.

and did it make you feel any better??? :lookaroun

by the way... no one is really gonna care about this but it made me think of it and I felt awful. Bun you say how the pressure caused her sippy cup to spill all over Marc. Well... when I was in PA, my sister was doing something and was like "can you get Kris some juice in his sippy cup???" (Kris being my 3 year old nephew)

so... I fill up the cup... and then don't put the cap back on it at all properly... we're going to have dinner with our other grandmother... and he has a verrrrrrrry nice white sweater on. Cranberry juice spills all over his nice clean white sweater as he tries to drink... and he just looked at me and goes "UNCLE JOE!!!! :("

I felt AWFUL...

AND ON TOP OF IT MY SISTER YELLED AT ME...

:(

*okay back to the TR*

Just be forewarned, the info is good.. the DVD is not. It's such a low production value, and the host makes me want to claw my ears out, he's so annoying. But the information is what's important, and it's presentes in a nice short little package that it makes it worthwhile.

Oh noooo...

Those sippy cups are tricky devils. Each one is different. And if I had a nickel for every time I spilled milk on her in one of her Avent bottles because the suction wasn't juuuuuust right on the ring.... Ugh. You're not alone here.

This is why my kid only gets easy-to-clean apple juice
