:lol::lol: Bet that's fun.

I'm watching Get Smart at the moment.

Get Smart is a GREAT movie!!

And... UGH... if I tried to honestly explain all the reasons and give all the examples as to why she is 100% entirely incredibly and outrageously the wrong girl for him... it would take me an entire 5000 post thread myself.

It's just outrageous. Every single one of his friends hates her (because of how she treats him... HORRIBLY...)

We've never said anything, we don't wanna get in the way of his happiness, but at times when it seemed like they were done we've said to him things about how he's so much better off without her and how she isn't right for him. But he doesn't talk about this stuff...

They haven't been actually "dating" in about... 8 months, and yet she's here twice a week, and yells at him for EVERYTHING... makes him do whatever the heck she wants him to do... literally owns him... "NICHOLAS DO THIS!!!" "okkkkkaaaaayyyyyy"

and he's a WICKED like, tough kid... wicked hard nosed, doesn't take anything from anyone, but he's such a whipped girl with her... it's soooooooooooooooooooo obnoxious...

This fight started because Villanova (where she went to school) is playing at the Garden this Thursday, tickets are like $175... Nick said he can't afford it... and she's FLIPPING OUT that he won't spend the $175 to go to the game with her (and LIKELY is trying to get him to pay $350 for both, cuz that's how she is) and she is just FLIPPPPPPPPPING out that he won't spend $175 to go to a basketball game with her... reeming him out.

And he just takes it... everyday...

she's the definition of a nag.

:D Sorry.

Needed to vent...

Vent away. :animwink: I'd probably reem him out if he was dumb enough to spend that much on a ticket, but that's me.
Actually, I really work hard at not nagging DH...1) Because it drove me nuts to watch Mom do that with Dad, and 2) It would be a waste of breath, he doesn't do anything unless he decides it needs to be done.
I'd like to think we respect each other's point of view enough to reach a compromise on any topic. It's been working for over 17 years anyway. :)

I think I might go for a ride...

I've been feeling such an oddly oddly odddddlyyy oddddddddd mix of emotions today.

Weird day.

Hasn't really been Allie related... except for like. Sometimes it feels so weird. Like, I'm forgetting her. Other steps I've gone through were acceptance (took awhile ), a "getting on with my life" stage where I just had accepted it and then started living again, I don't know what all the stages I'm talking about are, I'm confused... hahaha

but I'm legitimately like... forgetting her and it makes me feel so weird... like... this was my girl. I know she's basically with someone else... it kills me to think of MY girl with someone else, but I also know... she isn't MY girl anymore (not meaning like she isn't "my girl" cuz that's obvious, but she isn't the girl she was when she was with me... she's a different human being... I don't even know her anymore, she changed so much)...

actually here's a quote for ya guys, from Swingers.

Sometimes it still hurts. You know how it is, man. It's like, you wakeup everyday and it hurts a little bit less, and then you wake up one day and it doesn't hurt at all. And the funny thing is, is that, this is kinda weird, but it's like, you almost miss that pain. For the same reason that you missed her... because you lived with it for so long.

So... I've just been in a weird mood today... weird feelings of happiness, joy, relief, disappointment, lost opportunities (not meaning allie), loneliness, despair, excitement, and just overall confusion...

Gonna take a ride, my roommates are dead from Vegas and going to sleep so... clear my head, get at peace with myself cuz I'm bored, I'm a dork, and I'm weird...

:D

I'm sure I'll be back on before bed though.

Well ya know, and through Kat, these types of things really helped me toward moving on from Allie.

I think... the overall thing I just took from what you said right there is... (probably not really your point, but I could say indirectly what you just said could be taken as this);

Love is not a struggle.

Every relationship will have fights, or bumps, and highs, and lows. But... it is NOT a struggle.

Love was a struggle for allie and I.

Done and done. Simple as that.

Life is like that...smooth road and bumps, highs and lows...the question is how do we deal as human beings....do we blame others and make excuses, or learn from those experiences and emerge as better people.

You're emerging an even better person, Joe...have a good trip out and about. :)

Dude, that's really deep.

My ex and I struggled every day to stay together. I actually remember telling my BIL at the time " Your brother and I fight so hard to stay in love" (oddly, this conversation took place during my first trip to Disney...we were on family vaycay and he was telling me he just didn't "get" what Danny and I were doing together). At the time I was proud of this "Look how hard I'm fighting to keep this alive". Now I realize that it was all a sign...you shouldn't have to struggle to stay together. It's not always easy but it for sure shouldn't be a form of torture or some kind of test.

I heart Grant so much. He makes me crazy but there's no where else I'd rather be.

Hello Dan - doing fine here. :) And yourself?
Doing good, had a very busy, but relaxing weekend. Unfortunately next week is going to be a killer with court all week.
They are trying to get me some help, but people not even there are making there say and that is putting a wrench in everything.:hammer:
