Disney Cruise Lines rocks my socks off. That's a fact. Cruising agrees with us juuuust right. In the coming 18 months we're also venturing out to a couple Royal Caribbean sailings. As I learn my way thru cruising and different cruise lines I'm seeing little things that I think could be helpful or neat. So, what things have crossed your mind that it'd be nice to see DCL do?
Here's what I have right now:
-Give parents the option of setting up a per day room charge limit for kids. My boys would've enjoyed snacks in the Buena Vista theater. I wish they could've had the ability to purchase them without me. I don't feel comfortable giving them full charging priviledges in case they lose their key card. But, if I could give them the ability to spend $25 or $30 each day we could make that possible.
-Please keep the characters out for more than 15 minutes at a whack especially on themed nights when they are dressed in the different ensembles and in high demand. I don't have a crystal ball. I can't get in a line that's a mile long and accurately judge when I'll make it to the front. If I stood in a line 30 minutes long to meet someone specific and didn't get to I would be peeved in a huge way. This is why to date I have not been able to get the pics I want most. If the characters were outside in the heat I could understand 15 minute sets completely. But inside? High guest demand? Keep 'em out, please.
-More ship specific merchandise in the shops please. We chose Disney Cruise Line. We chose our ship. Let us represent! Don't follow the WDW Merchandising slackers. Those folks have it wrong. DCL is better!
-More activities for adults during the day on the classic ships, please? We found ourselves looking for things to do during the day. We wandered the ship and found all kinds of empty spaces not being used. The 30 minute adults animation class was over in 5 minutes. There's lots of us who don't lay in the sun drinking bar drinks all day. I'm not here to play board games. Stimulate my brain!
-No more bedspreads! If you're selling a deluxe cruising experience, don't make me feel like I'm at the Motel 6. I shall lead the anti-bedspread revolt!!!
That's about all I have for now. Anyone else have suggestions??
