Suggestions for Couple Dinner?

I think all the PP's have already mentioned the good ones. Possibly add Le Cellier to the mix. I agree that San Angel is more for the mood than the food as the quality is similar (IMHO) to the quick service outside.

California Grill (on top of the Contemporary) while Wishes is going on is another great romantic spot...they pipe in the music and everything. Get a window table, sip on a great glass of wine, and enjoy. :)

So when you call WDW to schedule dining reservations (im right about 6 months away from our trip), can you ask to be scheduled to sit there for wishes? Or is that not possible?

You can try to coordinate time with Wishes, but that is not as easy as it might seem. Even if you have the time right, 2/3 of the restaurant has no visibility to MK...so you have to leave your meal and go up to the observation area. If you eat there earlier, you are allowed to return with access.

As to the original question....

If the price doesn't bother you, Victoria and Albert's is an amazing experience.
Artist Point is pretty, quiet and a very nice meal.
Narcoossee's, Cali Grille and Yachtsman are fine locations and meals but higher on the noise level (i.e. less intimate)
Flying Fish and Bistro de Paris are also to be considered.

Victoria & Alberts - if you can swing it and if you can get in

Artist's Point. Very quiet and the tables are well spaced. You feel like you have some privacy.

Welcome to the forums! I hope you like it here!

The problem is that in October and early November, they don't even run wishes every night, and on the nights that it is scheduled, if the park hours change, the time for wishes might change as well. And WDW often changes park hours during the less-attended times. If they find that by hotel bookings they will have a larger crowd than expected, they will add on hours, and sometimes even schedule wishes for a day not previously scheduled (it works the other way, too, taking off park hours, but usually they start conservatively). You also have the problem of competing with MNSSHP and P&P. Does anyone know the policy about watching the special fireworks from CG for these events? Is the sound track played on the observation deck? Plus, Park hours for November aren't even announced yet.

So, you can take a chance and book on a day that you THINK they will have wishes, and at the scheduled time.

To me it is not a problem that you can't see MK from your table. You will WANT to go to the observation deck. It is really magical to watch it from there. And there is no problem leaving your table to do this no matter what part of the meal you are in. And as ClemsonTigger said, if you book earlier, depending on the time factor, you can have an after dinner drink in the lounge and wait for Wishes, or go to the lobby and shop, and return for Wishes, as long as you show proof that you dined there earlier.
