Sub Lagoon

With all the rumours that are swirling about DL's sub lagoon, has anyone heard anything about our much loved 20K Leagues lagoon? Might they reopen it if the sub lagoon in DL have a successful relaunch? What are your thoughts.

Ain't gonna happen. Disneyland is in a serious crunch with next-to-no capacity in Tomorrowland with just about everything shut down. They need anything that'll get people on a ride. The Magic Kingdom at WDW has plenty of attractions, including quite a few people-eaters. There's no need for them to scramble to put a low-capacity ride back online.

That said, I'd love to be able to ride 20K again, it's been too long.

Well i highly doubt they will put the subs back in unfortunately, but i have a GREAT BIG WONDERFUL IDEA!!!! Build a dock to go out to the middle of it, put tons of bass in it and have all day fishing..

If the Powers That Be aren't going to bring back 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, then I think they should do something related to Finding Nemo in the lagoon.

Wouldn't that be neat, trying to find Nemo underwater?

If it turns out to be a hit at DL then I think they will definantly think about re-opening the one at MK. But I think they'll wait til then.

Nope.
Ain't gonna happen, though I miss that attraction dearly.

DL is reopening their subs due, as mentioned before, to serious capicity issues in Tomorrowland, what with Space being closed for 2 years. It is fairly easy for them to do, they only shut the subs down 5 years ago, and the actual submarines have been sitting in the show building since then.

However, at WDW...the subs are gone. Pulled out, moved to the Pluto storage lot, then hauled away to be disposed of (One sold for parts on Ebay, one at Castaway Cay, others buried).
The sheer cost of replacing all the subs puts reopening the ride out of reach.

It's gone...for good.
