Styracosaurus Missing from Dinosaur

Does anyone have a picture of these raptor heads? And more of an explanation on the "spare" Carnotaurus, how all that backup stuff works? That sort of thing really intrigues me.

It's a really a shame if only 50% of the interior made it into the attraction. Dinosaur could really be a top class experience comparable to Indiana Jones if you weren't enveloped in total darkness most of the time... and of course if half of the effects that DID make it into the ride worked as functioned.

The spare carnotaurus head replaces the charging carnotaurus. If I remember correctly, they light the scene differently and it just kinda stares at you. When it's not in use, the spare head sits across from the carnotaurus where they take your picture. It's normally dark, so you can't see this (you're also looking in the wrong direction).

Spoke with a CP today who said the dino is out for maintenance

no word on when it should be back, then again they didn't seem too "in" on the situation

I took some photos on last weeks ride evac. One of the cool things was that across from the Carnotaurus where they take your picture, they keep the replacement to the charging Carnotaurus. It's not lit, but when the lights are on you can see it's head.

Freaky! That guy always startles me when he's in, because I'm not expecting the head to be right there. That's what's most fun about Dinosaur - when something isn't there it's more scary lol.
