Hello guys

Hello it is my first post here and I am a current castmember. From what I heard, under the hat could be a small shop. I haven't had the chance to hang around much with the castmembers from that area. However here is some tidbits... The rehab for GMR isn't only for the outdoors... There is some heavy rehab going indoors as well... But I can't give specifics of it... Nothing major though no changes that I know of. And if you haven't seen Miss Piggy and Kermit, you're out of luck for now, their last day was March 22nd! They'll be back I'm sure eventually meeting families... They are still in the parades however.

Not quite... As a cm I cannot get access to everything, but most things I can. I cannot get into Mission: Space.. I would love to see that one... However I wouldn't want to ruin the magic for everyone else!!!

as for GMR, i heard the fantasia scene is currently being removed and will be replaced with something else by the time it reopens.

Hard to say... I love 3 of them... The only one I don't like to work in is Animal Kingdom. Toontown's Judge's Tent and Epcot's Disney Characters on Holiday are some of my favorites. Al's Toy Barn is great too.

I know that I shouldnt's expect the security tents to be extremely detailed, but both of those seem a little too simplistic. As for the stuff underneath the hat, pretty cool looking!!! And as for those pics of the GMR... SNEAKY!!! :lookaroun

There is a shop under there. I work there sometimes.

In addition to the new structure, additional registers and a new counter are being added. This would definitely help us during major pin releases. The Sorcerer's Hat is scheduled to reopen on April 11.

I'm going to be the complainer- as usual, so don't stone me too hard, but while I recognize the neccessity of the security tents, I HATE where they're positioned. They totally ruin the view, the view for photos of the entrance, and the overall effect. I dunno, maybe its just me.

I understand your point, but they are more or less where they need to be--right by the ticket booths.

Not sure of the permanent structures placement, but the temporary checks seem to be in the only logical place.

Where do you suggest placing the permanent structures?

I was thinking the same thing too...

They ruin the view you get of the nice Art Deco Disney-MGM Studios entrance structure. I know they are necessary where they are, but some of that aura you get walking up to the entrance I'm afraid has been lost, if only just a little bit. The security checkpoints are necessary, however...

Plus, I'm sure, the photo we got to see did not portray the view of the entrance in totality...
I'm sure you can still see it and still see it well upon approach...

The checks really don't ruin the view all that much, IMO. You can't really tell from the picture, but there is still quite a bit of room between the checks and the ticket booths. Of course, I would rather not have them there, but that's pretty much the only place to put them without MAJOR construction.
