Stuck!

Do you go to Disney World so much that you seem to be stuck on more than your fare-share of Rides? Even though break-downs don't happen often, does it just seem like you seem to have a "gift" for being on the ride when it happens? Do you wonder if there are others that feel the same way as you?

If you have answered "YES" to 2 or more of the above questions, join the unoffical club. Post HERE if you feel the same way. If you want You could put ASOR (always stuck on rides) in your sig. lol.

Just wanted to see if there were others out there!!

I can't say that I've ever been stuck on one main ride (besides SSE). I was stopped twice this last trip on HM and had to wait about 10 mins. outside of TT before we could get on it. Other than that, those are the only times I've ever been stopped on or waiting for a ride. SSE, I've been stopped every time on that ride except for once this past trip and was in so much shock that it didn't even hit me until about 5 minutes after I got off. I guess you could add me to the ASOSSE.

Luckily I've never been truly stuck on a ride. It's a real cool idea though. I did experience a boat backup on Small World which lasted 4 minutes or so (there was a heavy line of boats in front of us as we approached the unloading area).

I thought it was just me! In my last two trips to DW I got stuck each time for over 10 minutes in THM, once with a red-eyed crow screaming at us from 3 feet away. It did not go over well with my kids(4,3,1 at the time). 2004, broke down in BLY in the section where you get dizzy(my kids didn't enjoy that either).
I'm also known for getting in the worst toll booth lane, bank line, getting the slowest waiter/waitress, etc. It's me. I can't help it.

I was stuck in the Mme. Leota section of HM last time for about 5 minutes. As a result, I can practically recite the whole incantation from memory. Later the same ride, I got stuck in a very un-interesting part of the graveyard right at the bottom of the hill before the doombuggy turned to face anything. That lasted about 3 minutes. I also always get stuck on SSE, usually on the trip back down, which can get very uncomfortable, since I'm taller than the headrests. I don't think I've ever gotten stuck on another attraction.

One time while riding on the haunted M. our buggies in front of the ghost in the crystal ball part. We were stuck there for about 5min. Also, I was not on the ride but had been waiting in line when they had to shut down RocknR C. for repairs. We had been waiting for about 20min at that point.

July 2003: Trip of the Malfunctions
1. First ride at Disney in 3 years (Star Tours), it breaks down at the comets part. Got another ride though...
2. Tower of Terror (over the main drop shaft, now that is terror.)
3. SSE (No surprise).
4. Test Track broke down. I hadn't ever seen TT break down before, only go down due to inclement weather. We broke down in the corrosion chamber for 20 minutes (had my HM's on either side of the car, though, so it wasn't that bad...)
5. Great Movie Ride. Got stuck in Alien section, was very loud and annoying for 10 minutes straight...
6. Haunted Mansion. Stopped right in the ghost hitchhiking section, was very fun (our ghost got a lesson in abuse).
7. Dinosaur. Was outside the main entrance, CM stopped us and said the dinosaurs were being fed.
8. Universe of Energy. This time, the CM said the dinosaurs ate the guests...
All I can think of now, but I'm sure I'll remember more immediately after I log off...

Got stuck on PotC for an hour in early December 2003. Thankfully they turned off the audio after a few minutes. It was interesting to see everything with the lights on.

Let's see here - I've been 'stuck' on Space Mountain, which was great, 'cause we'd just 'launcehed' and were still very close to the top, and they turned the lights on and I had my best view ever of the interior of the Mountain - I've been stuck on Spaceship Earth (facing backwards just after the rotation at the top of the dome) which was not too bad, except we were a little too close to the speaker where the woman warns you that your time vehicle will be turning around for the descent, and it's pretty loud - I've been 'stuck' at Pirate's, which was not bad, because I really got to study the detail of the scene - I've had stops on plenty of others, but I don't think those qualify as 'stuck'.

I've gotten stuck on Tower of Terror and got to ride again. I've been on SSE and HM when it was stopped to let a not so quick person on. Also, Test Track broke down on us one time. (but when isn't test track broke down!)

This should get a reaction considering how strongly some people feel about both of these rides...

My husband and I once got stuck on Primeval Whirl, just as you are heading up the first big hill. We were there for about 25 minutes when the CMs came around with ladders to get everyone off the ride. As annoying as it was for us, I felt worse for the family in front of us who were further up the hill with a child in a wheelchair.

The other time we got really stuck was in Journey Into Imagination With Figment. We sat in one place in the ride for about 15 minutes with the soundtrack coming in and out. Eventually they got the ride moving again, but the soundtrack wasn't in sync with the ride. It was sort of freaky.

We got stuck on The Great Movie Ride at the end where you see the movie clips because our car went off course. It lasted about 15 minutes and we had to watch that painfully loud movie over and over again.

I don't know if you call it stuck but, everytime I ride Maelstrom I feel like I'm being held hostage at the end...

Splash Mountain was stopped a couple of times this past trip and no trip to WDW would be complete without getting stuck on HM several times. This year it stopped while we were at the ballroom scene and just as we were leaving the crystal ball scene.
