Just wondering whether anyone here has a story about (good one) having the ride you were on stop for whatever reason and what happened. We got stuck at the bottom of splash before the last drop, and had to be walked off through the happy place and out behind the attraction. And on test track we stopped right in between the hot and cold room. Which is where I found a hidden mickey.

Stuck in Terror
We got stuck in the story portion on the Tower of Terror, just when the entire room would turn to stars...the vehicle stops. After aprox 10 minutes of sitting in total darkness (a recording came on and told us to stay in our seats yada yada yada) the lights came on. We were walked off the ride reveiling all its secrets.
We did get to go on again without waiting in line but, it's just wasn't the same.

I've been stuck on figment right in the smell room with the skunk. Not the best place.

My frist time on the great movie ride it stoped 3 times. (but i think that happens a lot) we were stuck in the Tarzan scene, Casablanca and something us. but each time the guide was fun and played a game with us, "who could memorize the lines first" lol.

I got stuck on Space Mountain the first time I ever rode it. Sat there will all the lights on for a very long time. They finally walked us off and told us we could get right back on, but I opted out. Took me several trips later before I actually did ride it again! LOL
So cool in there with the lights on!

One time we were riding Tower of Terror and we were JUST before the first drop and we kept looking up,just waiting and it tok way to long.then all te sudden all the lights came on and this little old man came to us and told us to come with him.it was actually really interesting to see how they do the stuff.Then we got a free ride.it was fun! me and my friend call it the shiny elevator! HA!

My sister and I got stuck on Test Track in the tunnel right before the semi-truck. It wast the part where you just start picking up speed and then we just stopped! We all kept bracing ourselves to all of a sudden take off again. We were there probably 15-20 minutes. Luckily, it progressively sped back up. It did kinda ruin the effect....

We got stuck on Ellens Energy Adventure right as we were going into the dinosaur room. Kind of sad to see the dino's just kind of fade away as they lost power. All the lights came on, not much to see but a giant room. Then some guy who looked like Bob the builder popped out of nowhere and started yelling at people to leave out the exits. And that was a lot of people! Another time on PotC the boats stopped and the lights came on because the Brazilians were trying to grab loot by hanging out of the boat.

ellens energy adventure is a ride?!!! I HAD NO IDEA! I always thought it was just some lame outdated conservation show, so I never even bothered with it, does anyone have a video or some pics? I cant find any vids on youtube.... thats crazy, I cant believe its a ride?!! I'm in shock that I never knew about this and I have been goin to disney since i was 10 months old

I'm still waiting for my emergency evac.
We got stuck on Dinosaur for like 10 minutes once. It was pitch black too.

Got stuck on ToT last August on a day that was easily 98+ degrees. It was in the shaft going up and just after the doors close after the breaking window pane, we just sat there. And it got hot. Then hotter.
After 10 minutes a voice come on telling us to sit tight.
Then even hotter.
After 25 minutes total a guy in the front row just lost it and started yelling profanity (as I know I wanted to at that point). Before he cursed each time, he'd politely say, "Excuse my language, but" and then continue on with his potty mouth. He said what I was thinking.
Then it got hotter.
After about 35 minutes they brought the elevator back down and we were all given a chance to ride the elevator next to us. Only me and my wife took the offer. Everyone else decided not to ride and took the opt-out elevator.
Definitely my worst breakdown experience. Mostly due to the heat. Ugh - got really hot and uncomfortable in there. :fork:

In 1983 my dad and I got stuck on SM at the bottom of the launch ramp in the flashing blue lights. They had a very nice cast member come hang with us for about 30-40 minutes. We asked if they could stop the flashing and they apparently could not. It was somehow triggered by switches on the track and our car was stopped at just the right place.
Anyway, after 30-40 minutes of flashing blue (which can make you crazy) we were sent through one car at a time with the lights on. Talk about ruining the magic. To see SM for what it is does not add to the magic by any means. Though it is neat to see what you're not meant to. They did immediately take us back to the front of the line to ride again which was nice.
Only time I've had a breakdown and no Evacs to speak of.

I broke down on RNR once, which isn't something i hear about all that often. We took off, and went straight up, but instead of going into an inversion, we went backkwards. It was really odd. We sat there for a while, and then the lights went on, and some CMs came out and told us theyd take care of us. I somehow managed to work around the harness and pull out my camera, and take pictures, but theyre on my computer at home, and im away at college. It was really weird to see it with the lights on. It was like this little room with just a maddive knot of track. After a while, they couldnt move the cars, so they had us all get out and walk the cat walk all the way to the unload aread. It was sweet!

Splash Mountain... got stuck right before going into the mountain at "How do you do"... it was really late at night... and we're pretty sure we were the only people on the entire ride... finally someone came to get us after sitting there going nuts for at least a half hour. It was so hillarious, though!

DL Space Mountain
I just got back from a trip to the DLR. The second time on Space Mountain it came to a halt about half way through the ride. The lights went on and "hallo-o-o's" were called between the ride cars. I was able to snap a couple pics before we were escorted out of the cars and the building. (Did get a fastpass for a ride of "choice" for later in the day though. Nemo Submarines excluded.)
I might add that the DL Space Mountain was awesome. Far and away better than the Magic Kingdoms' version. IMHO anyway.

Got stuck on Buzz - haven't we all - i think everytime we've been on it its stopped half way through.
We've been on haunted mansion when it stopped but im not sure if they had intentionally stopped it but it was on a hill resulting in us leaning back for a few minutes - really hurt my back.
On ellens adventure - it never stopped but i know what you mean about the fact you see the dinosaurs "dying" off - if you are at the very back of the last carriage this is what happens in every scene !!!
