Well I seriously doubt this is going to...
A) Make anyone hate or even dislike the area.
B) Make Walt roll over in his grave.

It is clever theming, plain and simple. Walt's vision for the house on Tom Sawyer's Island didn't extend to building a "perfect" house out on that island. It is weathered, beaten, and old looking. And please stop using the reference of the HM. It doesn't hold water. Walt was talking about the dust and cobwebs being left to the ghosts and the fact that an old beaten up house wouldn't fit with the surrounding architechture. Plus, Walt was trying to be pithy in his comment. If he built HM anywhere else he may have created something that looks like the HM in Walt Disney World. No one here is saying that there are dust and cobwebs that need to stay put near those tracks. Even Walt would have seen the beauty in the theming around the parks these days.

So much for the aesthetic approach of making everything in the Magic Kingdoms look pristine.

Tough luck Walt, some lower level imagineer knows better.

You've never been on Big Thunder Mountain, have you?

Runaway mine train, bits and bobs and mining whoozits and whatsits everywhere.

Let's all just moan about immersive theming and how much it ruins the Disney Experience and Legacy and then give all our money to Legoland! WHO'S WITH ME?!?!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad opened in 1979, well over a decade after Walt's passing. Empress Lilly is right, the old and worn look is post-Walt.

Have you been to Liberty Square or Frontierland? There are architectural components of both of those lands that are made to look aged.

No no no, you've got it all wrong...the shutter hinges are broken and maintenance doesn't have funding to bolt them back up so they just used cheap leather.

Nope, they'll still give it to Disney so triple win for Disney. :ROFLOL:
