It's a low pressure system that has the makings of a tropical storm. The Hurricane Center was sending a hurricane hunter plane to assess the situation but it is not really an organized tropical system.....yet:lookaroun

It's off the coast of the Carolinas heading south.

I I were you I would certainly keep an eye on the weather channel just in case.

I just heard the storm is officially a tropical storm now. It is however a week one and they are not thinking it will ever even hit the coast. There is not much rain to it just wind, which is only going to cause beach erosion. So it sounds like you will be unaffected. Go have fun just try not to breathe all the smoke from our fires all around here.

I know were not supposed to get political here

the storm is currently heading West at about 3 miles per hour and is expected to turn south west within the next 24 hours. It is poorly organized but still has about 40mph winds. If it makes it to the Orlando area it most likely will be Friday night Sat morning, but like I said according to NOAA it is poorly organized check

www.nhc.noaa.gov at about 5pm for a better update and tell her to stay tuned. Disney has a policy for tropical storm watches/warnings.

Here in Savannah, GA it's been on and off sun and rain all day. There's rain in the forecast for the next 10 days. Right now it doesn't look like it's anything more than some storms - even the high winds they predicted didn't happen.

I live here in Orlando. The weather is cool and breezy today. The clouds are to the North and are supposed to move down here and give us a rain chance of 40%. The only thing that is bothersome about the storm is it is pushing the smoke from the fires to the North down through central Florida and Disney. So, if you are sensitive, bring medication.
This storm is nothing but hype.

AP discounts

Hey everybody, I just made ressie's for one night at POP for June the 30th. As I asked for the AP discounts I was informed that at this point there were no discounts after June 2nd. I also asked when they were going to release the new discounts. She said she had no idea if there were going to be any more. Does anybody know if there will be anymore AP discounts? And on a side note, I was asked if I wanted to buy any tickets for MNSSHP, or MVMCP.

I am guessing this was not supposed to be on this topic?

...... You cant be serious, right? Youre actually falling prey to the media hype? You know the National Hurricane Center has a website, right?

There is a Subtropical storm with 40+ mph winds spinning off the coast of Jacksonville. Its predicted to fall apart and then some. Here in orlando, the most you would get is a little rain and maybe 15-20 mph winds. Nothing of any consequence to freak out over.

Dave's absolutely correct. There is no reason to panic or change any plans. Just be sure you pack a rain jacket, just in case. (I always do, regardless of the weather report) And for those who are driving, you might want to listen to the news from time to time, to make sure you aren't heading into rain and/or smoke, from the fire. The smoke comes and goes, but the fires themselves are very localized, and are only affected people who live really, really close to them. At the worst, you might end up taking more time to get to WDW than usual.

I've just met too many people who think that somehow WDW can guarantee warm, sunny weather all the time, and they get upset when it rains all day or is chilly on their trip.
