Stitch's Great Escape returns for the summer!

What's wrong with it? The only issue I have is that these days the chili dog smell never seems to go away. It's got one of the best AAs at WDW, it's cute enough.

Also seems like a waste of money to tear up a super expensive annual pass just because you didn't like one attraction. Is that really a proper response? Doesn't change a thing, it's just flushing money down the toilet.

They only reopen it to keep capacity number$ flowing inward.

I saw the passholder preview of Stitch before it opened to the general public.

I tore up my annual pass that day and did not return to anything but the Polynesian, Contemporary or DTD for years.

I felt so insulted. Like Disney were spitting on people's brains. Stitch really is that bad. Not the character. The Unimagineering aspect.

Why say such ridiculous things? And so regularly?

There's never a time when Magic Kingdom doesn't need more capacity, so Disneys entire decision making process is flawed here. They've been messing around with Stitch for over a year now when in reality if they pulled their fingers out we could be a few months out from having a brand new attraction in its place by now. This kind of thing frustrates me with Disney....it's a complete lack of care for the quest experience.

I was there in May with Stitch shut, and every ride was at least 50 minutes. How can they think that on those days, where the mountains are over 70 mins each, that they don't need added capacity?

My personal opinion is that, besides knowing what it was originally, it just feels like its been tweaked and messed with. It's like a horror movie without any tension or suspense, or a comedy film that all the jokes are dudes. It's the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Angst of the theme park world.

Why say such ridiculous things? Because they happened

Why so regularly? Because this is a forum of somewhat free exchanges of opinions

You ripped up your AP ... based on passholder previews? Was it a valid AP with days? weeks? months remaining?

Seems like an over the top reaction to an attraction you had never experienced. What did you do when DinoRama opened?

It was just so bad Jennifer. Nothing changed in between pass holder reviews and normal operations.

Ask anyone who knows Magic Kingdom. Stitch is about the worst.
That is why its reopened again to fill capacity numbers in summer and holidays.

I've been. Many times. It's fine.
Not great. Not terrible. Just "fine".

Certainly not worth ripping up a valid AP for, that's for sure.

I get your passion. I really do. I am a huge Disney fan. Living in another country, we generally only get to WDW once a year. But when we do, we get a 10 day PH pass and hit the parks hard. We ride it all. (Except for the teacups :hungover:) No ride could ever be so disappointing that we would say mid-trip, "That's it, we're out of here."

Hubby is a huge Stitch fan, so we visit "Stitchie" every trip. I suspect seasonal operations will cease post Labour Day, and I know he'll be disappointed if it's closed when we get there on the 6th. Again, not worth packing up and going home though.

Everybody feels things differently, so to each his own, I guess. If you love Disney enough to invest in an AP, I would think that you love other attractions enough to just give Stitchie a nasty sideways glance and keep walking. *shrug*

We love Stich. My wife is claustrophobic, so the ride was good to go on once, but she couldn't handle going again. We would love to see a new Stich innovation ride, because Stich is a winner for both kids and adults.

This "attraction" is an abomination. Outside of the AA, which should be re-purposed elsewhere, there is nothing redeeming about SGE. It's not funny. It's not entertaining. It literally stinks. It was a cheap attempt to cash in on Stitch's alleged-popularity at the time. The sooner is goes away forever, the better. IMHO.
