My memory is drawing a blank and would love some help. At what point did they decide to only use Cinderella's Castle as the ending video instead of alternating with the Astro Orbiter one? Were there any other endings that were removed?

It is amazing the amount of changes and missing effects in the current version.

I've only seen the castle, so I don't know what you're talking about, but using other endings does seem like a good idea, even it is for a sup-par replacement.

I have an alternate ending for the Stitch's Great Escape attraction.

Gut the building and put in a completely different attraction or turn it into a restaurant.

I never saw any alternative ending and I have seen it many times including opening day. Can someone else confirm this or am I just the most unlucky person in the world?

The Astro Orbiter Ending was only part of SGE during the Soft Openings and Preview Periods. I believe once it officially opened, the ending was changed to the current one. If not is was shortly after the official opening.

They should have the ending be an apology for the entire thing.

I remember hearing before it first opened that they were going to shoot two different versions of Astro Orbiter. One was going to be a daytime vesion and when it turns night time outside, a night time version is played. That's a good idea actually, but I guess that got cut out of the budget too. :brick:

I think if you've seen this ride many times, then you are the most unlucky person in the world! I kid, I kid.:lookaroun

I seem to think that Astro went down for a refurb after Stitch opened. Perhaps they took it out for the refurbishment and never brought it back. I know they heavily retooled it like Alien Encounter, but could that be the reason for the cut?

I liked the original ending better. In fact, I thought the show was pretty solid pre-opening. Then they let you people in and all heck brook loose.

I blame you people.

What WAS the original ending, and what did US people do to it?

You saw him on top of the Astro Orbiter. There was also a night time version that switched on after dark. (Only saw it once, then it went the way of the Dinosaur when they changed the ending.)

The orginal show, like Alien Encounter 1.0 before it, left more to the imagination. Preview audiences got it, daily back-to-back audiences wanted more cute, so in came the fake voices and castle ending.

Started out B-, then by opening went down to a D+.

Alternate endings to Stitch's Great Escape? Oh, I could have fun with this!

-Stitch escapes to Astro Orbitor, where his rocket fails and crashes into the Rockettower Plaza Stage, which promptly explodes.
-Stitch escapes into the Carousel of Progress, where Rover very thoroughly uses him as a chew toy.
-Stitch is beamed away by X-S Tech to the planet of the monster alien, and, well... it's messy, folks.
-Stitch escapes to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger spin where he is skewered by the lasers of hundreds of Junior Space Rangers.
-Stitch escapes to Progress City, where he meets a nice girl in the choir at his church, has 2.5 kids with her, and otherwise leads a prosperous and happy life.
-Stitch escapes to Pirates of the Caribbean where he is, well... um, pillaged.
-Stitch escapes to The Enchante Tiki Room, where he commits an obscene act of violence against Iago and Zazu, then commits an obscene yet catchy song and dance number with the War Gods, who subsequently commit an obscene act of smite against Stitch.
-Stitch escapes to Phil Holmes office where he is told, "In an effort to save money, we are no longer going to animate you from the waist down."
-Stitch escapes to Main Street, where he soon is mistaken for a witch and burned at the stake.
-Stitch escapes to Toontown Fair and goes to work for Scrooge McDuck, and eventually serves Mickey his eviction notice.
-Stitch escapes to the World-Famous Jungle Cruise, where SirGoofy introduces him to Chief Name.
-Stitch escapes to Dumbo, where he DEMANDS the pink elephant!
