Stitch will have no height requirement

Galactic Federation? Couldn't Nintendo Sue Disney?

Unless there was another Sci-fi with a galactic federation before 1986...

This makes me want to see a Samus Cameo in Stitch.... it would be weird and awkward.... but hopefully Nintendo will sure and Disney places Samus in as a settlement....

hhmmmm...... you what we be really cool? If Alien Encounter was converted into a Metroid Attraction....

Oh well. I now kinda feel better with Stitch since it uses everything used in Alien Encounter.

OK you are OBSESSED with Metriod games. And Nintendo wont sue Disney. They are working to make KH Chain Of Memories. You think they want to spoil the deal? Come on.

If stitch will not be as bad as ITTBAB then why do they keep the shoulder restraints? There must be some sort of intense sequence to keep kids from running around. And lets think about the great wonder of AE.

Shoulder retraints=binural sound and the tongue on the head effect

Basically the "heart" of AE was in the analysis modules. There was alot more too it than keeping people in their seats

That would be sweet. They could put a metroid in the tube...and yea, then samus could kill it. Brilliant.

Back on topic. I think that not having a height requirement is a great idea. A lot of little kids will want to ride it, and now they all can.

Stitch's Great Escape will be no worse then "It's Tough to be a Bug."

People are wondering if they took out all the scary parts from Alien... I assure you, all the effects that were in place for Alien Encounter will be used in Stitch's Great Escape. Even the broken glass effect will still be there. So don't worry. Though the theme is totally different, Stitch will still deliver. And the new plasma cannons that follow Stitch... these little things are pretty neat. At one time, WDI was thinking of using real fire from these things... needless to say, it was just an idea and won't happen. But they follow the genetic signature of Stitch. And when Stitch spits at you, these things fire. Pretty neat effect. :) So please, don't say you're not going to ride it just because you don't think it will be as good as Alien. :)

Funny, considering by rule Disney Imagineers NEVER consider using real fire if its risked to be within 25 feet of any guest. I highly doubt they would have ever considered using it, especially since they havnt used REAL fire for anything aside from stunt shows and display purposes...ever.

They arent removing the headrests/restraints either, and it would be pretty much impossible to re-align them to work for ANY height human being, so im going to assume that the hieght requirement is sticking. Dont want kids sliding underneath them and causing any e-stops :)

Hey, Imagineers like to play around with ideas. lol. It was never thought of for real use. (Hence why I said "needless to say, it was just an idea and won't happen.")

And from what I hear from WDI, the restraints have always been able to be used with a person of any height... the height requirement was only due to the "scare factor" of AE... but that's just what I heard from WDI. And what we hear is not always true. Other then that, wow, Now, how the heck are you? It's been a while since we've talked. lol. :) Last time I talked to you, you still had the "eye" avatar.

Yeah..its good to be back..

WDI never really "toys" with ideas they know will never get approved..since that basically takes away from the whole creative/feasable planning stages.

The restraints cant be used for all heights. Id say go look for yourself..but the rides kinda closed :)

Yeah. Now has a point. Fire is kept to a distance in Disney. WDI does play around with ideas though. From what my friend told me, they were thinking fire, but knew fire couldn't be used, so they started working on an alternative to fire that could pass off as a plasma ball from a plasma cannon. That's what he said. As to how it turned out, your guess is as good as mine. lol.

Apparently, Universal's The Mummy attraction will have a room with a "fire roof", also dubbed "brain fire". I'm curious to know the distance Universal has placed these effects at. It's hyped as being a fairly intimate experience.

Universal has a whole different set of company rules as far as thats concerned (and in turn, a worse safety record...not DISASTEROUS..but not as clean as disneys). I, too, am curious to see this effect..they did fire on kong and pretty close proximity...a little too close if you ask me

Oh, how could I forget to reference Back Draft? That probably would stand as an even stronger example than Mummy. Now that show has some of the best fire effects I've ever witnessed.

And while I'm at it, I realized Jaws also features fire abundantly. Hmm, Universal seems to have a fire fetish.
