I headed over there yesterday, and I sneaked through those bushes to see what was going on...Seems as if they were training some CM's. Other than that...nothing.

I got to ride today! Woot! Errr no.. I didn't. Wow that wasn't even close to funny. I saw some CM's meandering about but didn't see anything else of note for the 15 minutes I was in the area today.

From what I read from Eyes & Ears, they are having a WDI preview event on Oct 15 for WDI's family and friends. Then on Oct 19 they're having a cast operations premiere. I don't think they'd have guest sneak previews before cast previews, but that's just my guess.

If the CM operations premiere is on the 19th, could we expect some type of opening in the days after that?

I just want to get up there and get this thing over with (like I've said, I will experience it once and ONCE only). I can't believe the one-year anniversary of AE's closure is tomorrow.

I had the weirdest dream last night.... it was open, and I saw the first pre-show and then walked out. :lookaroun

Thanks for the info :)
They did have Mission Space limited guest testing prior to cast previews, so anything is possible on this one.

If I will be at the MK on November 20, will this thing be open or what? Also, as to not start another thread, will the whole 20K area be open by then or no? What will be going on during that weekend ?

Yes to stitch, no to 20k.

I would say nay to guest previews before the WDI event, but if cast is being trained things are looking bright!

I was in WDW for the last 2 weeks and I can confirm 100% that some form of tsting has happened already. I do not remeber the exact day, it was either Tuesday or Wednesday of last week. About mid-afternoon a line started to form outside of the attraction with 3 uniformed cm's standing our front. There were about 5-120 manager type workers inside the que (as seen from the TTA), At one time, all these people who were lines up (I was told they were cast members by one of the uniformed cm's), were all taken through the hedge and into the attraction. About 10-15 minutes later, they all emerged together and were laughing and smiling. I was told it was the first of cast previews. I am reporting on what I saw and was told first hand. Hope this helps.

Who wants to bet they got that info from this thread? :)

It's so funny to watch the game of telephone Disney sites participate in. ;)

Remember though, this is the News and Rumors board. It's all very well saying someone was wrong after the fact (ie when you check after work), but people here are posting with some knowledge of the situation that things are about to happen. I certainly dont want to give the impression to people that if they post something is going to happen and it doesnt, they will be critisized. I know that over the last 5 years I have posted many things on the main site that have not happened, and I also have posted many things that have happened. That's part of the fun of what this website is about. Very few people on this forum can say for a fact what is going to happen, but I am always very happy to hear from people who have some info (like TheLazer), even if it doesnt always turn out to actually happen.

There certainly are cases where people are giving out blatently false info, and in those cases action is taken. But in this case I believe the poster is giving information that he/she believes to be geniuine, and its also supported by what I have been told.
Steve,

Thanks for stepping in and making these comments. I think people forget your very case at times.

Um, no.

While I do occasionally use things from WDWMagic, I am very selective and try to use posts from reliable sources or eyewitnesses.

In this particular instance, I got my information from another MousePlanet staff, who received the information from a cast member whose judgement he trusts.

Thanks for playing. :)

Hehe, guess I lost the bet.

It was in jest anyway, hence the :)'s.

Please don't take it as an insult to your site - which I consult daily - the timing was just very close on this topic and the wording similar. I guess in this case it speaks to the accuracy of the information as opposed to it coming from a singular source. My bad for being Mr. Cynic. :drevil:

:goodnevil Ok then--- I just got back from WDW. I went for a few days by myself this time-- I wanted to see if I could get in to see Stich as I had also heard that they were doing minimal previews at random--

Sooooooo I waited, watched, waited, talked to cast members, store cast members and-- I was told "NO" that they were not doing any! The ride would not be open for weeks-- ( Ok, what about the pass holder preview? )

Some cast members were rather rude, at the entrance. I told them I had heard that they were doing them, maybe once a day, and would really like to be one of the people choosen to go. OH NO! that is NOT true I was told!!! No one has and will be let in! :lookaroun

Come on-- IF I new about it why stick to the standard answer-- I understand that is what they are supposed to do but they did not reply in what I will say was with the Disney attitude.

OK, so I know -- Just say I am sorry, I do not think they will be doing another test today-- Or something a little more personable! What really made me the maddest is that I decided to wait and watch a little longer- ( after about 4 hours, in the rain ) so I went on the people mover AND what do I see as we pass?????? :fork: A "LARGE" group of people going into the Stich attraction.

Great-- So when I got off the ride I went into the store and saw the group coming out-- ( They all seemed to be happy and realy liked the show )

I asked someone who looked like a manager type if they would be doing another run through tonight and was told. NO !!! It is not finished no one is allowed to see it?????? What?? So these people I saw coming out the exit door were in my imagination? Hummmm -- Also, very blunt and a matter of fact answer-- again, almost to the point of being RUDE! NOT! very magical!!

Soooooo I did not get to see it while I was there, but I was their, and I did see people going in! ( and out ) I AM SURE----- Ha Ha

So If you are going I would give it a try-- Just hope you do not run into the two cast members I did. I will have to say I did talk to two other cast members posted at Stich later and they were not informative, but did reply in a better manner-- One even said he had been trained on the attraction but had not been able to see it either-- ( how can they train you on it and not see it ? )

Anyway, Good Luck, those of you going in a little bit, and do not forget to tell us all about it, should you be one of the lucky, choosen few- :D

That's terrible -- sorry to hear that happened. Unfortunately, there are MANY cast members these days like that.... :(

Have you thought about sending an email to Guest Services? It might not work, and it probably won't solve anything, but it is worth a try.
