WARNING - A couple of spoilers included - - -
I just got back from a couple of days at WDW. I had arrived on Sunday, Nov 7, but not in time for the Passholder Preview of SGE. Epcot on Monday. On Tuesday, Nov 9, SGE was open with signs in front saying something like "Please join us for a preview of Stitches' Great Escape" with a 45 minute wait. I waited. The attraction was very similar to AE (what I can remember - I had only been on AE once, just over a year ago). The Stitch AA is phenomenal, with very fluid motion, and it spits at 3 or 4 directions (a few people in the bottom 2 rows may get a little wet). The story line is similar to AE, with Stitch escaping, eating someone's chili dog, burping (which smells totally awful) and bouncing on the backs of the seats. All in all, the attraction is not bad, and kinda fun. And since I had only see AE once, I'm not mourning a lost love. At the exit, there were 4-5 Research CMs with comment cards/questionaires. I bypassed them.
However, there are 2 things I disliked about the attraction, neither of which are the attraction itself, but how guests are handled or how they react to the show. First, the way the guests are herded into the circular transport room. No organization. Just let the guests find their own seats. If the guests were actually guided as to where to sit or how to fill the rows (ideally filling the rows from bottom to top), the show could have started a minute or two earlier. Second, this is NOT a show for small children, especially if they're afraid of the dark. Stitch is a cute character, but after the lights went out, 1 or 2 small kids started crying very loudly for the rest of the show. A CM even went searching for one child with a flashlight. The dark, along with crashing noises, and jostling seats, are sure to frighten the small ones.
Still, it's a fun show and can get the adrenaline going a little bit for a couple minutes.
Oh, and BTW - CoP was open and doing fairly well :sohappy:, and Timekeeper was closed
