I know this has been said before, but aparrently WDI are altering "The Timekeeper" in order for it to have a more "lilo & stitch" theming.

Secondly, do any of the trailers showing stitch in the other Disney Movies play any part in the movie itself or is that just advertisement? It would be cool if one movie could link all the Disney Movies together!

Of course we all hope it does good, not only Disney but traditional animation needs it, to show people that CGI cartoons are not all that. But aren't they jumping the gun by putting Stitch in the parade already? Then again, they do have Atlantis, so...

And as for the character costumes, Rob, I'll believe on you. Because that pic really is dreadfull! I was imagining Stitch would be handled like Figment, with Lilo as a face character.

Lilo and Stich is a fantastic movie...

Yes..it was done mostly in house in Florida (as is going to be the new trend it seems..yay)..but they (as always) call upon the talents of ALL their animators world wide.

Not only is this movie already selling piles of merchandice, its getting one of the largest advertising campeigns in the history of Disney.

To the comment made about it reviving Disney Animation....that would imply that they were suffering. Not one animation they have done has been deemed a "failure"..each one had made enough money to pay for itself..and to get a financial gain. Not every movie can be a "lion king"....

NO..the advertisments have nothing to do with the cartoon..it was just a real clever idea that made people want to see the movie...

and NO..alien encounter will not be changed to fit the movie...trust me on this one...the movie would not FIT....at all...only thing that is similar is that Stich is an alien...and thats not enough to warrant a movie tie in.

And heeeeeeeeeey...as a CGI artist..id like to think that CGI movies are "all that" ;) Tho I never forget about the 2D roots

I dont know if he meant Timekeeper or Ailien Encounter on this one, as indicated by NowInc's post. I agree with you on not having it in Alien Encounter, but mabey Timekeeper? 360 animation?? I think that would be kinda cool! A new challenge for Disney Animation!

360 animations are really easy actually..much easier than doing it in "real life"...especially since all enviornments can be done in 3d (dont frown upon it..youd never be able to tell the difference)..and 2d cells are very easy to move around.

I dont see it happening tho....production costs will kill them..not to mention having to call back the voice talent and art director...eek...

As for a ride...and i Know im going to get blasted for this one...Spaceship bumper cars would work quite nice (you'll understand when you see the movie)...but then people will complain about the "carnival style" ride...

Well, mabey they wont do it now, but if its so easy, then all the better for Disney, I guess! I don't know, they have so many 360 shows at Disney, I don't think it would hurt to try it out. The whole show wouldn't have to be animated, just part of it. ANd, although it might be just as easy to actually animate in 360, I would think it would be a bit more difficult for them to set it up, like in the layout dept. I would think that since they are so used to working with a flat background that "setting the stage" for a 360 show would be just a tad bit more difficult.

setting up would be as easy as modling a 3d environment and slapping a custom virtual camera rig in the middle...which i do pretty much every day for my freelance stuff..not difficult at all...

Perhaps a better solution to the Tomorrowland Speedway? It'd be nice if the speedway actually fit in tomorrowland somehow! :)

I'm going to be down at WDW the week that the movie comes out in theatres, so I hope that they do something to commemorate the opening.

Does anyone remember the post about the UFO ride coming back to WDW?   This could be what NowInc is referring too. That could be the movie tie-in. If i'm not mistaken the ride is suppose to go where Timekeeper is. I could be wrong though.

dude those costumes need help.

i think lilo needs to be played by a real person and not a costume, something more like alladin or jasmine, both played by real people. And i thought Stitch had 4 arms

I think it would be tough to find someone that could play a face character of a pretty young girl. I would also think you need someone resembling the size of her (short).

He comes from his planet with 4 arms, but in the commercials Stitch morphs into an animal with only 2 arms in the dog pound and it seems he spends most of the movie with only 2 arms.
