Sticky Mickey or Tonga Toast

Okay, another question: I've got one day where I'm on my own for breakfast. Which is a better option, a Stickey Mickey at the Concourse Steakhouse or Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe? I've never had either or even stopped at those resorts, so any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

DARN! I was really hoping that you'd gotten the points for $12! I was going to ask you who you went for that resale, cuz I'd be there in a hot second!

No, through the Disney Vacation Club you buy points instead of weeks. Different times of the year are different points so you book your vacation and the points deduct from your annual allotment. This way you are never "stuck" with the same time and location each year (unless you want to be).

Talk about a thread drift.

Anyone find the recipe yet?

If by Cinammon buns you mean cinnamon rolls (sweet bread with a cinnamon sugar filling, rolled up, and then sliced so they makes spiral shaped pastry when baked) then, no. That's not what Stickey Mickeys are.

They're more like a dinner roll that has cinnamon and sugar in the dough before it's baked. then they put three rolls into a round baking pan so that they form a three circle "Mickey" head when it's baked. It's then served with icing drizzled across the top and a little pitcher of carmel sauce to pour onto it before eating.

They are very good, and were a perfect comliment to the eggs benedict. They've got a "special" that includes mini-stickey (or should that be Minnie-Mickey, )mickeys, and Eggs Benedict that was wonderful. The entire breakfast was better than Tonga Toast in my opinion (I like eggs benedict a lot), but on a strictly Tonga Toast versus Stickey Mickey basis, I have to go with the Toast!

Hope that clears it up.

I thought this kinda answered that one.

Also have not had the Sticky Mickey, but it would have to be hella-good to beat my choice of the Tonga Toast!

Know what? IMHO, Tonga Toast is nothing to jump up and down about. I didn't even think it was good. My wife liked it, but not like it was made up to be on this website.

Back when I went to Polynesian last October, I had it with my wife and it was also a huge brick. The taste was not the greatest thing I have had.

Oh yeah you didn't mention who you liked.
