On The Colbert Report's "The Word" segment on Wednesday, Stephen Colbert remarked about the perceived sorry state of the wait on security lines in American airports (according to USA Today, the worst out of all industrialized nations). Apparently, some airports are looking to the Walt Disney Corporation to show them how to keep people happy while waiting in line indefinitely, and it was the subject of that night's "Word." (Swoosh) Check it out.

P.S. There will probably be an ad preceding the segment.

He seems to refer to Disney a lot! The other night I also heard this remark:

"Some disturbing news coming out of Capitol Hill last week. Incoming House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced a new five-day work week for Congress, replacing the previous three-day, Tuesday to Thursday schedule. This is terrible, folks. How is a congressman supposed to take advantage of a four-day Disney flex pass?"

I saw that one too. He is hilarious. I wonder if he is a big Disney fan as he does seem to reference them a good deal.

Well, he's got 3 kids. No matter how he might feel about Disney, simple osmosis dictates he know something about it with 3 children in his life. :D

I saw the taping of this show LIVE in his studio in NYC. It was amazing for me since I am such a big Disney freak. My undergrad thesis is on the Disney theme parks... Stephen Colbert is my favorite entertainer... I travel three hours there and then the same back... and his word is "IT'S A SMALL WORD." When he read that Disney quote and launched into talk, I was the first person screaming with the WOOOOOOOOs whenever one happened. It's so embarrassing to look back on... but my friend with me was dying for me.

It's a sign I tell you! Go Colbert Nation!

That was fun. Colbert is the best. He was interviewing columnist Dan Savage the other night and Savage was talking about how Canada allowed gay marriage. Colbert said that Canada wasn't a real place and referred to the Canada pavillion in Epcot being more real. Or something like that.
