So I can't a reservation for Le Cellier... and on our last trip we really enjoyed it... any steakhouses you can recommend that may be as good as Le Cellier?
1. Shula's in the Dolphin (not on DDP)
2. Yachtsman Steakhouse in the Yacht Club (Signature)
3. Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Signature)
4. Citricos in the Grand Floridian (Signature)
5. Brown Derby in Disney Hollywood Studios (Signature)
6. California Grill in the Contemporary (Signature)
7. Captains Grille in the Yacht Club
8. Grand Floridian Cafe in the Grand Floridian
9. Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge
10 Kona Cafe (Teriyaki Steak) in the Polynesian
Granted I have the diet of a Puma (red meat, red meat, red meat)
I would think the next best thing would be Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Very yummy wood fired steaks! They also have very yummy bread and great service.
DW and I both love the steak at the Yachtsman Steak House. Another favorite steak of mine is the Filet with Teriyaki BBQ sauce at the California Grill!:slurp:
We enjoyed Yachtsman, and there was a good choice of steaks. However, we preferred the filet at California Grill, although there is a smaller choice of steaks there. Of course, the setting of the California Grill also has to be taken into account; it is second to none. If you haven't been there, it is well worth a visit.
We enjoyed the Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs. Great food and atmosphere. :slurp:
We haven't eaten at Le Cellier and we were going to go there this year in Sept. but decided not to when they took prime rib off the menu. We also have reservations at a few other Epcot eateries we didnt' have room for Le Cellier for lunch either. We decided to save it for a future trip.
Shula's is hands-down, no contest, the best steak in WDW, but they do not take the dining plan. After that, I'd take Yachtsman over anything else on property for a pure steakhouse experience.
Other places that aren't steakhouses serve nice steaks, though, and zurgandfriend's list is a good place to start, on that front. I'd add Flying Fish to it, though. I would always get seafood there, but I've heard and read a lot of raves about their NY Strip.
A nice hidden gem is the steak at Shutters at Carribean Beach. My wife and I went there for the first time a couple weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised.
