Staying off property and using Disney buses

Personally how I can't believe some people are so cheap that they will do anything to not pay the parking fees at WDW and will do anything not to pay them.

People cheating so not to pay the parking, or the cheaters that lug back their mugs to steal soda. Would love to know what some of these people do for a living. Do they steal an extra dozen tubes of free toothpaste from their dentist? Or lens cleaner from their eyecare professional, etc?

I think I have made my point.

Since WDW gets all their soda for free from Coca Cola which was told to me by several Cast Members, can you really call it stealing? So I think I have made my point.

Yes, you can. The Coca-Cola Company gives the soda to WDW, not to guests. Therefore, they are taking something that is not theirs. No matter how you look at it, taking something that isn't yours is stealing. Whether or not it cost the one from whom you are stealing anything doesn't even enter into the discussion. Following your logic, if I stole all your Christmas gifts on Dec. 26, you couldn't really call it stealing, because someone else gave them to you. See how argument plays out?

If someone were to steal something from WDW that would mean a lose of reveune right? So if WDW gets the soda for free which is meant for their guests, how can they lose any money? So that is why you can't call it stealing. Besides Cast Members ever enforce the mugs rules.

Wow they even get the soda for free? The people that run these places are friggin geniuses. I remember the last time I was at Sea World I saw all of the people lining up to pay for fish to feed and pet the dolphins... They MAKE MONEY and feed their animals at the same time! GENIUS!

I work for Coca-Cola and I assure you Disney does not get their Coke for free in the parks or hotels. The only exception may be in the Cool Zone that is considered a tasting area. But even in there, if you get anything bigger than the sample cup you pay for it and so does Disney.

That's what I figured--free samples in Club Cool, not free drinks for the whole resort area. Some people are just so eager to argue, they'll even lie for their foundation, creating an argument based on fallacy. Personally, I think it's sad.

I don't understand the logic of going to WDW but not staying in a Disney hotel, unless there are relatives or vacation club accomdations, etc. already in Orlando.
It's like missing half of the magic.

:king:

I agree with you, and I feel you can stay at a value in some seasons and get park tickets for around the same price as you could at an offsite. Of course it does depend on the season. I have never been in the more busier months so I don't know the prices for values at that time. But, just from this thread, think of the hassle these people are going through staying at an offsite and trying to figure out how they can get to the parks the cheapest. I like the values, they are the only ones I can afford.
I stayed at an offsite in February, only because it was free because my BF was there for a work convention. All I had to pay for were my park tickets. The transportation issue/cost was way too much hassle for me. I used mostly taxis and hated it.

It makes sense when you plan a trip to WDW in the very near future and the prices onsite are 3x that which people paid when they booked a year in advance or even full.

Yes I wasn't thinking of that. I edited to make what I meant more clear. I do feel though, with proper planning you can get into a value for a very affordable price, then you don't have to deal with issues like this.
The people that this thread is about should check with the offsite they are staying at. I know some hotels offer a shuttle service.
The offsite hotel I stayed at offered the shuttle for a cheaper price then my taxi rides, but it had a very limited schedule, and I did not want to be tied down to it. You paid the round trip price for the shuttle ahead of time. So if for some reason I was not where I needed to be, I did not want to risk paying for the shuttle but then having to take a taxi anyways.
