Book Saratoga Springs Resort 1 Bedroom Villa for same price?
Already booked for Dec. 12-17 and just got a promo for a 1 bedroom villa with dining plan for same price.
Any suggestions greatly appreciatted. We will have a car if that makes a difference.

I've stayed at both and had 1 br villa.

Used the kitchen a little for breakfast, about 50% of breakfasts.
Found bus rides to be long from SSR to parks.

Would rather stay at WL for holiday spirit.

"really not all that bad." THERE'S a ringing endorsement. :ROFLOL:

Saratoga is swell. If it were a resort anywhere else in America, most folks would be really impressed. It's just that, since the theming is more subtle than most other Disney resorts - and because it's not spitting distance to any of the parks - it's often treated as the red-headed stepchild of Disney resorts. Ditto for Old Key West.

I guess I didn't word that quite right.... LOL.

In my "really not that bad" comment, I was referring to the overall impression by alot of folks that SSR isn't as nice as the other DVCs. I happen to think it is one of the nicer ones, I own there and have stayed there a couple of times now.

Wilderness Lodge but everyday I mess around on the Disney website to see what type of deals are out there. Messing around today I noticed I could get the 1 bedroom villa at SSR for basically the same price I am paying for the package at the Wilderness Lodge. Was just wanting some opinons from those that have either stayed at both or at least at SSR. For those of you that have stayed at SSR in at least a 1bedroom, did you used the kitchen at all?
Thanks
When we stayed at SSR a few years back we had the 2 BR. The kitchen came in very handy at breakfast time and made making the lunches we brought to the parks much easier. On the days we didn't go to the parks, we would return to the room after swimming for a quick lunch before heading over to DTD to drop some $$. Remember that some rooms are quite distance from the main pool but we happened to be lucky enought to stay right across the road.(I forget what the section was called, sorry) But if we had the free dining ...... things may have been a bit different.

Do you have the DDP with your Wilderness Lodge package already? If you have the DDP, then having a kitchen will be just a waste of space. If I'm not mistaken (and PLEASE correct me if I am) you can get mini fridges in Deluxe Resort rooms which will be pleanty for small breakfast items such as juice and milk. With 2 small kids, closeness will be much more appreciated than space for that mid afternoon nap or evening trek back after a long fun day. IMO, convienence is worth the extra $$$.
