Starting to look at maps and get in my head where to go what to do...

So we are fast approaching double digits on the countdown (WOO HOO!) and I was up thanks to a late nap this afternoon. I was thinking about my daughter's birthday and the day we have planned. For those of you who don't know, we will start out with a breakfast ADR at Akershus at 8:05. Then head over to MK for a day full of princess fun. When we get to MK the only thing we have to do is Bippity Boppity Boutique at the castle at 10:55. We are gonna try to eat at BOG for lunch. This is our only MK day planned for the trip. I imagine we will get in some MK time before leaving on our last day, but don't want to put everything off until then.

So here is my question, with the times and scheduled events how would you structure your day? Some of our musts will require FP or long wait times. Here is the list of what we want to do:

So as you can see, it's a long list. And probably not all possible. Suggestions?

I'm thinking bus may be better for heading over to MK from Epcot. But if I move it we don't have to worry about it. I don't remember monorail taking that long. But better to be safe.

The monorail ride itself isn't all that long, only around 20 minutes. However, the wait IS long. So, unless you hit it just right, you are in for a bit of time. And, you should remember, the EPCOT monorail merely takes you to TTC, where you have to exit the TTC then re-enter it to get to the hotel loop...and then wait on the monorail for that.

Just as an example...imagine her getting splashed on Splash Mountain, after spending nearly an hour getting made up?

I mean, every kid is different, but I think BBB is a better evening / nighttime event. Just my opine.

My kid chose Jasmine for her theme, and we did CRT afterwards and then fireworks as a family. It worked out well.

We've only done it one year, and the kid loved it. However, the other years, she equally enjoyed going to the shops and picking out her own dresses and tons of accessories (for around the same price, actually a bit less)...

I have plenty of memories of being in the very large and well themed dressing rooms with her as she decided between dresses. Her mom did BBB with her in 2011, and they had fun, but I think we have had equal fun together picking out her dresses at Tinks. My kid has very...difficult...hair, so it's a big ordeal to get her ready for BBB, and I'm sure that colors my impression.

See I talked to the CM on the phone about that and she said it should be fine. I think I am gonna call back and see if I can get a later BBB that way she isn't walking around in it all day. We can go later in the day and that way she is all dalled up. Or if she isn't that into it, just cancel. She loves dressing up at home but hates having her hair done and make up.

It's going to be very hot in September. Those dresses can be hot.

We went in September in 2010 and during the week we didn't see a wait time past 10 minutes and even those were exaggerated. We would ride and jump back in line to ride again. The parks did get busier on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (locals?). We are going September 13 through the 21. 5 is such a magical time. If you don't get to everything than you have a reason to go back!

I think your plan sounds fantastic except for your MK day. Have you thought about moving that breakfast at Epcot to your Epcot day? That is what I would do and it would free up some time to get a lot done at rope drop at the MK. I would also skip BBB, unless its most important to your daughter. That's going to take up a lot of time and with only one full day at MK you may need that time. That would save you the whole morning, and we tend to get so much done first thing in the morning. Just a thought.

To maximize your day at MK, I would suggest signing up at TouringPlans.com. Doing so allows you use their touring plans. They have quite a few premade plans. Also, you can build a custom plan. Like, if you choose your top ten attractions to see, they'll build you a plan that will make the most effecient use if your time.

I have mentioned my current obsession with my tp.com app many times now. I look at it all the time. I have not really tried it out, but from what I gather about the individualized park plans, you can change things at the drop of a hat and it will reconfigure for you. even if you use one of their standard plans, if you get off track you can skip items and it will reconfigure (even based on current ride times).

It can also provide you with some planning. Let's say it is 12pm, and you look and see a FP for Dumbo or whatever is now for 6pm, it might behoove you to go get it for that timeframe.

I have been thinking about this in reference to nap times. I want to do parks from rope drops to late morning/early afternoon, naps, and then go back to a park. Sometimes I see a lot of rides FP times for about the time we would leave the park is during good return times after the nap. So it might work out to grab those FPs and return later in the day.

In any case, that tp app allows you to see everything going on all over the park from one single spot. No wondering about ride x and having to go all the way over there just to see what the wait times are like.
