So I am moving to Disney tomorrow to start the CP and am wondering what I should be expecting my first weekend? I figure since it starts on a Wednesday for the most part I'll be training for the next few days, but what about the weekend? Anyone know?

Day 1: Check-in, move in, Wal-Mart, sleep
Day 2: You get your job location and training schedule. Day over.
Day 3: Traditions and you get your Cast I.D. Now you can go to the parks!
Day 4: Training *could* start...mine didn't
Day 5 or 6: Training will definitely start.

Remember, there are no weekends in WDW. Training could start any day of the week. Your personal weekend could end up being in the middle of the week.

I like to tell everyone, quite honestly, that the first couple of weeks will probably suck. Of course, it's different for different people, but the first two or three weeks are definitely the worst. You're away from your family (often for the first time), thrown into a place where you don't know anyone, doing a job that is strange. And if you're like me and have been unemployed for some time before your program, then the pace of it takes some getting used to. In my first few weeks I seriously thought of quitting, but I told myself to stick it out a while and see if it doesn't get better, and it did get better. Just be prepared for the fact that it may not be as fun and magical as you expect, at least starting out. It's hard work, it just happens to be in the happiest place on earth.

The first month definitely isn't easy. In my case, it was a month before I was trained to drive a boat. It's hard, but nothing good in life comes easy.
