As rumored for a very long time DLR's second Starbucks location will be the Market House as well as Disneyana.

From the Disney Parks Blog

I’ve got updates to share with you today about some big changes coming to Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland park. First, Starbucks will be making its much-anticipated debut inside Market House this fall. To make room for this exciting addition, Market House will close next month to begin an expansion into the adjacent space currently occupied by Disneyana.

Disney art and collectible fans will soon be able to find all their favorite treasures in one location, as Disneyana will move to a new home inside the Bank of Main Street building, the current location of the Disney Gallery. The new, combined location will continue to present a rotating Gallery Exhibit, featuring Walt Disney Imagineering concept art and pieces from local artists. (In fact, we will have information soon about the newest exhibit, featuring art inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer.)

Market House will reopen this fall, still themed as a turn-of-the-century general store, serving Starbucks products and a selection of specialty Disney pastries. I’ll have more updates here on the Disney Parks Blog as the project progresses, so keep checking back.

I'm happy the phones will still be there!

Market House is one of the few Disneyland spots that really hasn't changed since opening. It's dated. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out after Starbucks arrives.

Makes sense. I remember being in the Market House before it was officially announced to be landing there, but knowing it was a likely spot. I knew right then and there that they would need to expand or seriously rearrange somehow. Hopefully they can do both Disneyana and the Gallery justice when they share a spot.

Think we can get this thread to a bazillion pages like the one on the WDW board? I'll start. STARBUCKS IZ RUINING DISNEY LAND WALT WOULD NEVER HAVE WANTED COFFEE IN THE FORMER WURLITZER ORGAN STORE SPACE

No outside vendors in Disneyland, despite the fact Aunt Jemima pancakes used to be sold in the parks, beginning opening day!

They're killing Walt's dream. He would have never wanted this.

No, I never got to meet Walt himself, but I'm still positive he wouldn't want Starbucks in Disneyland.

LOL! I totally love the DL attitude about the addition of SBux to Walt's park. It's like, "Okay. Interesting to see how it looks when it's done." vs. "OMG!!!! The sky is falling!!!!!" from the WDW die-hards. Such a laid-back attitude. Maybe I'm just hoping here or grasping at straws but the contrast with the very relaxed vibe of DLers really adds a lot of appeal to me. Seriously.

We've been through enough out here to know a minor issue when we see one. Plus we have the benefit of the excellent Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe at DCA as an example - if anything, it's an annoyance to have to be in DCA to get Starbucks. I don't know anyone who's upset about it coming to the Market House, especially the CMs who can spend their paychecks there before, during and after shifts. ;)

Seriously though, this is something I've seen @WDW1974 go on about before - WDW fans went ballistic over Starbucks going into the Main Street Bakery. But continual neglect of attractions? Parks falling apart or just embarrassingly outdated? Doesn't bother them a bit. I can't wrap my head around it.

Walt always dreamed of Splash Mountain rocks falling on Guests' heads, while drinking 3rd-party coffee.

Starbucks didn't even exist till 1971 so it shouldn't be part of Disneyland!

Valid Argument ;)

I was joking :D haha. I really don't see the fuss about it, oh wait, there is none!

Last August Starbucks was very popular at DCA (I guess it still is). I remember one morning I was waiting 40 minutes to get 2 coffees while my bf was waiting to get fastpases for Carsland and we both finished at same time :D

A woman chatted me also up and was SO excited when I told her I got it IN the park :D

As long as the building etc still looks like it belongs in there I really dont mind :)
