I think this makes a lot of sense.

I'm curious where in each of the four parks they will be placing Starbucks.

This is what I'm wondering too. I mean, if they have Starbucks Coffee at the Main Street Bakery, then whatever. If they turn the Main Street Bakery into a Starbucks, then I might have to run amuck with a meat cleaver.

Cool. I wonder how inflated the price will be at WDW, seeing as I already think Starbucks over-charges for their coffee...

Much more of a Dunkin' Donuts kind of guy, but this is fine, if not, neutral news.

Hello solid cup of coffee, goodbye Nescafe.
If done properly, this could/shoudl be a GREAT thing.

Now I can satisfy my daily iced coffee fixes at DW.

Nescafe are staying in the restaurants. The Starbucks are going to be stand alone locations.

The placement and theming is going to be the hugest question in my mind. Will these be standalone buildings or will they just incorporate them into a current food establishment. Will it feel like a Starbucks with hints of the current green apron type costume or a perfectly cohesive environment except with their product choices?

Starbuck's is my coffee of choice but I'm not an everyday or even every week coffee drinker so the coffee choices were never important to me at the World.

From the sounds of the announcement, Disney is making efforts that both the locales and employees fit into the theming, according to where they are placed.

The release says that the first location will be in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café at DCA. So my guess is that it will not look or feel like a Starbucks, but will have a "featuring" label near the entrance. The products will be Starbucks products, but I will guess that the cast and theme will all be distinctly Disney. I would almost put my money on that Main Street Bakery becoming a Starbucks location. I would also say that the overall look, feel, and a number of the products of the bakery will remain the same but it will now feature some Starbucks items.

My choices:

DCA: Buena Vista Street
Disneyland: Main Street (not replacing anything, but inside, as a supplement to the bakery or another shop)
Magic Kingdon: Same as Disneyland
DAK: Avatarland (all the drinks will be blue...haha)
DHS: Streets of America
Epcot: Italy?

Today, we’re excited to officially announce plans to bring your favorite Starbucks drinks and food items to all of our theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

In June, the first of six planned Starbucks locations is scheduled to open at Disney California Adventure park. And more locations are planned at Disneyland park and Walt Disney World Resort (Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom).
The Starbucks locations inside our parks will be designed to fit the theme of their surroundings. At Disney California Adventure park, Starbucks will be located in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café on Buena Vista Street, a place that transports guests to 1920s Los Angeles, when Walt Disney arrived in California and a cup of coffee was the perfect way to jumpstart a busy day. The store’s location plays off the Spanish/Mexican architecture of the period, and baristas will wear 1920s-inspired attire.

The café will serve Starbucks items, including coffee and espresso beverages, Frappuccino® blended beverages, and signature breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Guests also will have their choice of Disney favorites, including signature sandwiches and other items, as well as delicious desserts and sweet treats.

What do you think?

LOVE IT:sohappy:

I look forward to a decent cup of coffee in the World.

I don't agree with Starbucks prices but as a hard core coffee drinker, I'll pay!

My entire family has complained about the coffee for YEARS!!.
Even if you dont like Starbucks its will be a better choice then what they have now.
I just hope they dont charge overflated price for the coffee. It would be a shame if the coffee cost more then a snack on the snack choice. :(

This makes so very happy. We always crave an unsweetened Black Iced Tea at the world and never can get it. Plus sometimes I am just in the mood for a flavored coffee.
