Starbucks among other new vendors at Disney

Now, I had a Starbucks gift card on my last trip, but I made sure to use it at the Epcot location. I will not patronize that abomination on Main Street!

Yep we will go to the others gladly but just can't manage to go in the MK one sadly. Only delimma I want a Starbucks MK you are here mug (I know I know I shouldn't want that either lol) to go with the other cities we have one from including an Orlando one we have.

Disney does customer service right. I received a follow up call from WDW concerning the MSB email I sent to Starbucks. They are sure responsive to their customers. So I received calls fom Starbucks and Disney. Good job CS

Yes I too was impressed how they connected, I was asked by the Starbucks person when they called me at the end of the conversation if I would mind if they had a Disney rep call me too.

he was very nice and did not mention specific things but regonized the problem. He said they toyed with changing the name of the bakery since they no longer bake products there, from MSB to something else but thought that would mess with the Main Street tradition. He also asked if I would mind if someone from Disney also calls me.
That was about it other than they are hearing complaints from many sources.
Check my earlier post I posted the email address if you want to add in your constructive complaint they are vey receptive and maybe we can get some things changed.

Oh, I have no intention of emailing them, because I'm fine with the change. As I've mentioned numerous times in this thread, I like Starbucks, and I have no problem whatsoever with it being incorporated into Disney World. If anything, I'll send an email stating how happy I am with their decision, and urge them not to try to change anything.

Then I would say you have no Disney soul, you lost it drinking corporate cool aide. This is not a hate Starbucks rant. It's all about the bakery take over and quality. A change that makes no sense and does not help the Main Street look and feel. Starbucks coffe could have been incorporated into the bakery keeping the fresh baked goods. True Disney lovers would and could not see the sense of this horror on Main Street.
It can be fixed satisfying both camps if they want to. What next a wal mart in downtown Disney. Taco Bell in Mexico .

I mean have we just been duped into thinking this is OK. is a McDonald's burger as good as a fresh made burger or a machine made shake as good as one that's made with hand dipped ice cream, packaged cake as good as fresh baked. the answer should be no, but we are being given less quality and we forget what it used to be like, we forget the taste of fresh made. this change is good on the coffee end but stinks on the pastry end. I don't love it but lets not get silly. You still go to disney even though the Penny Arcade was turned into a store. You still go even though the old movie theater is what an art gallery now? All these changes to main street including the bakery being taken over stink. But we still go. Hey they could ave turned the Bakery into a DVC sales room so could be worse. So we don,t like it but we can,t stay silent or the next step usually gets worse. I think it's ou job as fans to protect the asset when the bean counters forget. We hav to call them on their mistakes. Why because we care.

I have now been contacted by Disney regarding the concerns about the Bakery. You have to give them credit for great customer response.
I have already spoken to Starbucks cudos to them also.

Every franchise has a flag ship location and Starbucks should designed and set the one on Main Street as such. Main Street bakery could have been their best but instead it's just another Starbucks. Missed opportunity by Disney and Starbucks which is very surprising to me.

not to beat this subject up but I just read that ZURI'S Sweet Shop opened in the AK. They note on some of the pictures how unique sweet items were created for ZURI'S. Now why couldn't that have been done for STARBUCKS ON MAIN STREET? Obviously it can be done if they want to.
