Star Wars Weekends and crowd levels

Can anyone tell me how the crowd levels are in the other parks when there are SWW going on at HS? We're going the week when SSW starts and I'm hopeful that means MK won't be too bad that Friday night. Thanks.

I've only been once and that was last year. All of the parks were the most crowded I have ever seen. This might not be the norm but MK was a bear during the weekend.

I went to SWW last year for the first time and getting into HS was a nightmare, but I never really noticed an issue at the other parks. Crowd levels seemed normal to me. Also check to see which parks have Extra Magic hours as those parks are typically the most crowded on that day. Hope you enjoy your upcoming trip!!!!!

Heading for the great escape.
Heaving with added heavingness for anything Star Wars related, the grip n grins were shockingly bad, and my scrotum looked more like Luke than the stand in.

I will start this by saying the day I was at HS for SWW last year, I had a terrible head ache and the temperature went up about 20 degrees in one day so I was not having a great day to begin with.
The crowd was insane, you could not take more than two steps without having someone cross in front of you or stop and trying to safely navigate a stroller through that mess was worse than any rush hour traffic. By about 2:00 I really started to have an anxiety attack and felt myself getting ready to go off on everyone. So, I made my way to next drink and fruit stand found some shade and just took a break for about 30 minutes.
Looking back on it, it was a great day but, you need to be in the right frame of mind to deal with that specific crowd.

SWW days are not normal park days. They are not even normal busy park days. You almost have to adopt a convention style (eg ComicCon, Celebration, etc) touring plan.

I have found that Dad's bar in 50's Prime Time can really help.;)

I wished I would have thought of that but, I think the combination of drinks, ibuprofen and allergy meds may not have ended well for me.
Don't get me wrong I would go again but, just with a different expectation and mind set. I have been to the other parks on on the busiest days of the year, this was different for some reason.

The one area that I found really stood out at DHS for Star Wars Weekends were the picture experiences with characters. Some were roaming through the park and little efforts were made by the character handlers to coordinate a line - it was just general swarming...The other parks were also crowded to me, especially at dinner time as those who didn't reserve in advance went to Epcot or other places to eat...

I have been a couple of times, but nothing will compare to this year. You will have Luke Skywalker, Lando, and a host of others. It will be insane!

SWW transforms HS into a different atmosphere. If you're not a Star Wars fan skip HS on these weekends. We are going two weekends June 7&14... it is a different park, but you need to relax and enjoy all the craziness!

Over the past couple of years of visits, I've become rather fond of HS. I HATED that park the first time I visited. I think I did 3 attractions total first visit to HS and I felt lost and I was disappointed in the offerings. It was the second time I had ever been to WDW and while I LOVED MK and EPCOT, I could muster nothing but disdain for HS.
Summer of 2012 I discovered TSMM and fell in love. Thanksgiving 2012 I got to see the Osborne Lights and well it was all over. I was hooked on HS. Since then I have actually gotten on ToT several times and now I love that ride too and I hate drops so go figure.
I think what I have decided about HS is when it is hot, this park is even hotter and more humid. SO I only visit the park morning hours or late eve/night. And when it is crowded....it really feels crowded. I can bear the crowds at MK, tolerate them at EPCOT but HS and AK I have difficulty with crowds so I am mentally prepping myself for SW Weekend because I really want to experience it...

One of these years I should make an effort to go to SSW. I use to love SW when I was a kid. Episodes 4-6 were my favorite movies and watched them over and over again when movie theaters use to re-run them. Didn't care for episodes 1-3. The DS (age 10) loves 1-3 but doesn't like 4-6...strange.
