Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

So the ride will break down if some guests don't get in or out of their vehicle quickly enough to keep the pattern flowing? That is going to make operations very difficult. I will assume the cars will stop and wait to move to the next zone.
That’s true of many Disney rides. Space Mountain, in particular. To keep lines moving, guests need to move.

I don't see this on my app. The ride doesn't show up on the wait times list, but I can find it on the list of attractions. It just gives me basic height requirements and whatnot, though. I don't see anything about boarding groups (nor on the website). Any idea what I'm missing?
True but there isn't a waiting area for cars to be dispatched from in case someone takes along time to get seated.
Since there's more than one load area, I assume cars from the other ones would dispatch to make room for returning cars... they would just dispatch out of order

The CMs ALL deserve kudos today. From counter service to cleaning, maintenance, ride... All of them.

For starters, most there this morning got there at 3am and worked until 12pm.

The ones braving the front line held back a LOT of eager fans. Others were using a squeegee to clean windows and garbage can tops before the crowds descended. Others made sure we had nice, hot coffee when we finally got in. Then there was the on-ride cast, playing their parts to a TEE (their performance was truly amazing).

This was a MASSIVE effort by a lot of great folks, and to them, I say THANK YOU! 👌🔥👍

Disney is setting a dangerous precedent with that stunt. Guests will hold it over there head when a attraction breaks down on its grand opening, and since people use Disney as the paragon of integrity for the other Orlando local parks. All this is going to do is empower guests to be more entitled when it comes to down times and opening day malfunctions.

Let's look at it from this standpoint. People bought tickets solely for today, If they were in a boarding group and didn't get on, the got a FREE ticket. The signs they had in the park, one the printed handout for the boarding passes and the boarding pass segment of the application said they can't guarantee you will experience the attraction.

Let's see how well this will blow up next time...

There's nothing dangerous about it. People already complain and act entitled. If unexpected generosity is a dangerous precedent, then there would be tons of CMs out of jobs.

True. Let's say we use virtual queue tomorrow, and the ride reliability is even worse. When guests fight for park hoppers and if Disney says no, they'd justifiably use tonight as an example.

Which is why I don't see VQ lasting over the weekend.

And, so what if they do? Just because Disney goes above and beyond in one situation doesn't mean they have to do it every time. If those folks in the totally made up future scenario don't like it, oh well.

I suspect it won’t be an issue. They’ll be more conservative with boarding groups tomorrow. But there will likely be fewer people anyway.

surely you can see why this is a little different than a magical moment.

and while I agree with you, there likely would be a lot of guests who don’t.

No, likely random (alternating). The color coding is to speed loading.

No heat.
It’s to organize guests into rows before they actually get to the ride vehicle, which would cause confusion and take up time. They group before the preshow because that’s a time that would’ve otherwise had nothing taking place. They’re aiming for maximum efficiency.

For those that have been on, have we figured out yet which colors correspond to which ride path? Also, any heat from the blasts in the gun room?

the front car ends up in front of the AT AT and the rear car on the side of the AT AT

front car loading colors are blue and green

rear car loading colors are red and orange

front car will be on the left of both Kylo AA’s, rear car on the right.
