The direction of the story. You’re suppose to be on a hero’s mission but you end up running from Kylo Ren the entire time. Did we cause a diversion and help Finn escape? I guess I gotta look that up or buy a book where it explains that.

As far as being nitpicky goes. At the very end, once landing on Batuu, you come across two or more scavengers picking up scraps. I could’ve sworn I saw that same footage on Star Tours.

You're right! I didn't make the connection before, but there's a similar sequence on Star Tours that they added as part of the preview for Galaxy's Edge (starts at around 1:38). Obviously some differences as we don't crash in Batuu, but the location we crash into also has a hangar portion that looks like the one we land in on the ride.

It's actually the exact opposite. We are not on a hero's mission, we are new recruits to the Resistance who are being evacuated from the Batuu base due to Finn's undercover team aboard Kylo Ren's Star Destroyer informing us that the First Order are on their way. We are being taken to the new base by General Beck and are captured before we can leave the system, while Poe, being the only surviving escort, escapes to bring reinforcements. Once aboard the Star Destroyer and in the prison cell Finn's Resistance team breaks us out of the cell and provides us with transports to take us to the escape pods. Mayhem ensues and we finally escape after being pursued by Kylo Ren who is after us because we know the location of the new Resistance base.

After watching POVs and videos of the ride for the past couple days since it reopened, these are the effects I noticed that are MIA and/or not working currently:
  • Probe Droid lasers not working/turned on. You’ll see the lasers on the wall since it’s facing the wall, but it moves as the probe droids turns around towards you.
  • Cannon room in B-mode; only first cannon is moving, last two are static. Because of this, the transport vehicles have a different sequence where they move forward, then backwards, then forward again. The screens may are also be showing different videos (this depends if the two static cannons are still firing or not — the screens won’t flash green anymore), as well the music is quite different.
Some good news tho — the blaster effects in the AT-AT room are still working, as well the hanging swinging pipe in the final Kylo encounter. These two were the most problematic effects pre-Covid, so glad that they’re still working!!

A little better today. Used the Joel method of just keeping MDE app open. As of 10:30 they haven’t started calling boarding groups.

You’re right. Apologies on that as I wrote this review very late when I should’ve been asleep. Preshow #1 included the recruitment/briefing. Preshow #2 included getting transported by Resistance personnel to then becoming captured and interrogated by the First Order. Preshow #3 was getting saved by your Resistance comrades and thrown onto a vehicle controlled by a rewired droid.
