What time do they generally start calling groups? Getting concerned...

Boarding group 9, both group members used their phones. While the refresh didn’t work, on startup boarding groups became available almost instantly. Got into the actual park at 6:40, left hotel at 6:10 so it took about half an hour to get in for future planning.

On Sunday they started calling at 7:42, I think.

Edit- For anyone curious on the method, I turned my phone (iPhone 7s+) off and cut it back on about 6:55 or so to clear and apps tying up memory, didn’t click on the app until 6:59, looked at my Apple Watch until the seconds column ticked to 7:00:00 and clicked the “Find out more” button on the app at the same instant, join a group wasn’t lit, so I immediately clicked on “check status” and that screen had the “join group” button activated and got through the add guest screen, total process probably 10-15 seconds max, the pages loaded quickly. I think not having checked prior to the second it hit 7am May have helped avoid having to wait on a refresh.

Thanks to everyone for their advice in the past days. Now if they’d just open the ride!

Question for you, when you cleared the apps on your phone when you turned it back on, did you have the MDE app open already or it you open it from "scratch" at 7:00 AM?

I opened the app probably 45ish seconds before 7:00, but didn’t click on “Find Out More” (image below) for the first time until the clock struck 7:00:00. I figured having the app open wouldn’t mess anything up, just avoided clicking on the Rise link so I wouldn’t risk it lagging me on old info (pre-7:00:00) that groups weren’t open yet until it refreshed on whatever time cycle phones or apps do such things

Parked at 8:20, tapped in at 8:25. Now for a day of work and hopefully I get a call this evening. If not, it was worth a shot!
