I’m gonna try and ride this week before AP blockout. Approximately how early should I get there to have my boarding group called before around 11:00-ish, barring downtimes?
From what I can tell, showing up at 5:15 vs 6 can potentially save you hours of waiting.

The past few days they’ve hit 50 around noon. I would guess people with 50 are showing up around 5:45 or 6.

Maybe the more thrilling attractions, like Space, Everest, Tower, or Coaster.

I mean, really think about it. Is the 8-year-old from China or Brazil who doesn’t care about Star Wars really going to want to ride Rise again over Toy Story Mania?
Yes. It’s that fun of a ride. Does anyone care about Avatar? Not really. And yet everyone continues to re-ride FOP. Why? Because it is a great thrilling well designed ride. Rise, IMO, is better than FOP, and will easily have people wanting to return.

I ride rides because they are fun. I like Monsters Inc but the Laugh Floor doesn’t get a visit from me very often. To this point, I think you and others are overestimating the apparent need of people to like Star Wars first before they could possibly enjoy and want to re-ride the ride.

My mother could give two s about Star Wars overall and in relation to Rise. She enjoyed watching the movies but seriously can’t remember anything about them. She loved the ride and was right there with me in wanting to re-ride it. Why? Because it’s a damn good ride...

Pretty sure people from Brazil and China are gonna feel the same. And yes, they’ll want to ride it over Toy Story Mania. Same as they’d want to ride FOP over say Dinosaur or Bugs Life or Everest.

In part, false. Chinese guests only want to see characters and plants. Rides are not necessary.

Minimal downtime too... wonder if they put out significanty more BG today or, if not, if they would actually close the ride for the day with three hours left of operating time if they run out of groups...
Sounds like a government employee (says the government employee). I can’t imagine many more than 110 went out. It was 108 yesterday, and they rightfully so seem hesitant to increase by much with each subsequent day where all groups are called.

There’s 3 options. Close it, open BGs again, or open standby. I think that’s the order of likelihood as well, with a huge drop in likelihood after the first option and an even bigger drop after the second.

Opening BG’s would be interesting, and probably the best option if they do intend to load more so they can control what’s left. Imagine the lucky people that just happen to check the app at a random point in the evening and are able to claim a BG.

They’ll never open Stand by. Honestly, given how perilous the opening has been, it would be best to give the maintenance staff the extra time to work with the ride. No guests have a reasonable expectation to ride without a BG from this morning.
