Those weren't lesbians, that was Ben Solo and Rey, though I can understand how there might be confusion.

But I concur it seemed outta place. It seemed like a slap in the face to characters such as Finn & Poe that she chose the genocidal, parent-killing, maniac who attempted to murder not only her, but those she cared about the most on multiple occasion. It completely threw the chemistry she and Finn developed in TFA out the window, and downgraded her morale as a protagonist considering she fell for the one character who stood against everything she stood for, minus one good deed at the very end. Made no sense to throw that in there. They could've parted ways as having a mutual understanding and forgiveness of his past (though how is killing your father and wiping out villages something to easily overlook?), but the romantic smooch seemed a bit much. (Imo).
You know what they say about nice guys finishing last.

Did we really need a lesbian kiss at the end of TROS? Nothing in the plot of the movies lead up to it or gave any reason for it. It was kind of like the last scene of the recent Voltron animated show.

Alright, putting my vote in finally. I vote for the Sequels. And here is why. I just finished the prequels. About a month later. After the first 2, I was SO disinterested, I started rewatching ALL of the Marvel movies. I got to Guardians, and remembered what I was supposed to be doing (I legit am not kidding). I then watched 3. So, here is my breakdown:

Best: The Force Awakens
Worst: Whatever that garbage Episode 1 was called.

Positives for the Prequels:
  • There was a cohesive plot
  • There was an attempt to keep things meshed together.
Negatives:
  • Everything people complained about with Rey, was BLATANTLY apparent in Annikan (Hi slave that can drive spaceships better than trained pilots and take down entire fleets).
  • Good lord I hate love story centric movies
  • I doubt I was entertained a third of the movies
  • I'm still bored from watching them.
Positvies from the Sequels:
  • I was much more entertained (specifically from TFA)
  • Um.... I think that is all I have.
Negatives:
  • Nothing made sense when watched together
  • The slightly slower attack ship behind a slow ship for 2.5 hours
  • The finale brought nothing together
Here's the kicker. I'm going to eventually watch 4/5/6 again. I honestly think there is a chance I just don't like Star Wars or the whole space thing in general. After all, Guardians are my least favorite MCU movies.

I’ve never cared that much about Star Wars, and haven’t even seen all the movies in their entirety, but I voted prequels simply because of how much the sequels hurt the franchise and because there was at least a plan for the prequel trilogy. If my brothers who are big Star Wars fans had accounts, I know they’d both vote prequels.
