Star Wars Land Information Needed

Has it been announced how many attractions Star Wars Land will have and restaurants?

There are two rides, Rise of the Resistance a trackless dark ride and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, a simulator ride where the guests will have some level of control over the ride. There be at least one, if not more restaurants.

It will also have a boutique Star Wars "Experience" hotel attached (however loosely) to SW:GE, and that will likely contain at least a TS and QS venue.

What makes you say that?
If you read the articles they all say it will open in California first this summer and it continually states late fall for Disneyworld, it seems like every time we read about late summer or late fall, they are pretty accurate in being in the ladder part of the quarter

Actually, they've stopped saying "Late Fall" and just "Fall." Don't know if that means an earlier window or they got tired of fielding questions about what "Late Fall" means.
If that’s the case, I’m expecting the worse rather than better. I’m not as anxious because I’m planning to go see it in Disneyland in August if not opening day... though if I do go to opening day, I still probably wouldn’t see if because I’ll be in a line for 48 hours.

The AP price increase was around Oct 16th.
So I assume the earliest that Starwarsland will drop is around Oct 17th.
They will probably get a much better idea on a firm date once the California Starwarsland is complete and running.

My feeling is that there will be a drastic price increase for day tickets from the opening date on. And that the AP price increase was to try to lock in some of the profits assuming that best case scenario target date.

Worst case scenario is around Dec 21st.

If they were going to do a price increase just for the Star War Lands, then they would already have done so. People who buy APs now, will lock in the current regular rate for when the SWLs open. People who are buying tickets for their vacation week are doing so now and locking in regular rates. People who are reserving rooms are doing so now, etc...

I already have my 2019 AP and three weeks of rooms reserved for 2019, including for a week in December. That's locked in.

Waiting a month or a few weeks before SWL opens to jack up prices will amount to next to nothing since the majority of people will have already bought in at the regular prices.

Now, one-day tickets at the gate... that may be jacked up... if it weren't for the likelihood that they wouldn't even sell any because of phased closings.

They did in October, less than 60 days ago

Yeah but they already increased the AP prices in Oct so it's incorrect to say you are locked in to the old prices. You are locked in to the new AP price.

That's why I think Oct 17 is the earliest they are expecting Starwars to open.

They can't raise AP prices for me since I've already renewed for 2019.

If they raise prices again next October, you'll have 11 previous months of people who bought or renewed APs already for whom the price increase won't matter.

There's no way you have your AP for all of 2019 if you renewed in Oct.

If you renewed Oct 17th 2018 and Star Wars Land happened to open Oct 16th 2018 then you would be able to use the AP for 1 day and then Disney would probably have you have to renew at the new AP price because of Star Wars.

I think what they are trying to prevent is an AP person locking in at a lower price and then going to Disney multiple times (more so than normal) because of Star Wars. They realize that people are going to using their APa much more than normal especially die hard Star Wars fans.

You can renew early though, not sure if it’s 30 or 60 days. And, if you have an onsite stay booked that extends beyond the end date of your current one, they’ll let you extend even earlier than that.

And you can buy an AP certificate and leave it inactivated until I believe 2030.so it would be possible to pre-pay for an AP to cover the opening whenever it ends up being.
