It is pretty clear from what we have seen recently that themed dining will be huge part of Star Wars land. Be Our Guest, Trader Sams, Jock Lindsey's, Skipper Canteen - everything is going to highly themed, story-driven dining.

I would expect to see a quick service, table service, and a bar/lounge.

Backlot Express could obviously be the QSR, with the 50's/Hollywood and Vine row becoming the table service.

Cantina would be popular, but Disney should be more restrained in using the IP. There really shouldn't be any character dining, Darth Maul should not exist with Darth Vader @ Jedi Academy. They should pick part of the timeline and stick to it and own it.

I...just…wow.

So then you wouldn't have characters that were in the OT or prequels in the new expansion? Because the expansion is completely TFA. The cantina is not the Mos Eisley version, but an updated one from the TFA timeline. I haven't looked at the satellite dish in the concept art, but I would imagine it's the TFA version of the Falcon as well.

I personally would love the cantina to have a quick service portion. Every SW fan will want to say they got food from the cantina, but there surely won't be enough tables to serve everyone.

Plus, Leia, R2, and C-3PO are clearly in the concept art, like front and center. It certainly isn't new triology Leia either...

^This. The cantina will most likely be quick service and there will certainly be a need for character dining as well as a more upscale experience. Or, the restaurants (Prime Time and H&V) could be combined (I believe, I haven't been there and don't know anything about it) to make one large character dining spot.

Although, she's still a BA.

Huge fans of Star Wars critique the movies down to the nitygrity details but it doesn't stop them from watching them. This new land will be just as critiqued but it won't stop the fanboi community from wishing they were there.

Ew. Who would want to meet TFA Leia? I wonder if she'd stand around petting her arm like Fisher did at Celebration.

Could you imagine a SW area without Vader, Luke, Anakin, Maul, etc.?

Just take it and toss it in the pile of possible but unsubstantiated rumors.

You've been around long enough to know how to play this game. You gather up all the rumors, hand sort for obvious counterfiet info. Shove the rest through the "Facts Assimilator" and out pops what will "probably" happen.

I'm guessing you're stuck in the hand sorting stage with this info. Toss, don't toss. For me, it makes sense so it went into the Assimilator.

Aye your right ... enough said

So Disneyland gets new construction and a saved Toontown. We get more walls and closed down areas. *Remembers how great it will look ... remembers how great it will look*

...and this is why we aren't going back to WDW until it's all done at DHS and (AK will be done by then too). The way the crowds are now, can you imagine the normal DHS crowds being absorbed into the already crowded remaining parks?

If I go back to Florida before then it will be to the Keys or the Gulf Coast and renting a vacation home. It's sad because our little girls will be middle school by then but it gives us time to school them in all things SW. Plus, my sister and bro in law should have their adopted baby and by then it would be a toddler - so we will still have a little one in tow. :)

I would be a-ok with that. That is why Harry Potter works. Each land is in its universal groundhogs day but it works. I don't want to physically, verbally interact with the "Main characters" outside of an attraction. Plus I hope this means they'll fix Star Tours.

If they use that spot it makes sense to just make it one really large restaurant space. I have no attachement to either restaurant I just think they should do all of this elsewhere, but I'm beating a dead horse right now, so ... moving on. lol

Actually, they already are combined. They're connected by a shared restroom facility. Relocate the toilets and it could combine into one large space.

The backstage kitchen is shared, right? With limited Hollywood and Vine items prepared within guests view behind the buffet?

That's what I thought. Thanks.

A quick look at the concept art shows that it is the TFA version of the Falcon with the square satellite dish (at least the one showing the Falcon flying. The dish is obscured in the others).

Me, that's who. Carrie Fisher is awesome and Leia is even more awesome. I certainly want to see Vader, and we'll probably see Maul, but I'd bet money we don't see Anakin. At least I hope not. :) We need the dorids, Chewie, Han, Luke, and the newbies too... Rey, Poe and Finn. Don't foget the new bad guys.... Kylo Ren and Phasma are gonna be great!

Maybe, or it could just be PR-speak. Remember, is ST "you" are the Rebel spy. Have you ever been chosen? I've ridden the ride 100 times and never have been. Not everyone is the Rebel spy, but they certainly imply that.

The keyword here, though, is "control."

Ok, I actually didn't find your rumors until a few minutes ago and thought we were just speculating. I find the opening onto Hollywood Blvd awkward at best.....it would make more sense to me if they left Echo Lake as is so Star Wars wouldn't immediatley juxtapose with Old Hollywood. Open the land around the Stunt Show, let it occupy the entire parking lot. Then again it wouldn't surprise me that they'd want SW to become essentially half the park.

With all due respect, I hope you're wrong!
