I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum on here, but how could anyone think this is worth the price? For those making reservations at Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers, be aware that Disney says full payment is now due at the time of booking vs the payment being due upon arrival at the location.

It’s definetly pricey, but it’s not *that* much more than a Legacy Saber and it is an incredible experience.I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum on here, but how could anyone think this is worth the price?
I have done both. Savi's is a much better more intimate experience of the two. Is it worth another $150? I don't know. I also did it before the price hike so I "saved" a little bit there. I am glad I did it but wouldn't do it again probably.I haven't done the lightsaber building (and never will at that price; I'm not that interested) but I have done the droid building because my GF wanted to try it.
It's definitely not worth the price. The droid itself is neat enough, but it feels like the "experience" is the reason for the price and there's very little to it.
You're being tongue and cheek. I get it. Still, reservations were made with an expectation of payment. Then there are no shows. I'm surprised they didn't set it up as pay at time of reservation to begin with, like dessert parties. They must have had enough people no-show that it cut into revenue targets. Can’t have that.
The price is actually on par with some custom built sabers you can find online. Not sure the quality difference. But you also get the "show" in Galaxy's Edge.I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum on here, but how could anyone think this is worth the price?
Budgeting for those performing roles must be difficult without supporting revenue. They must have had enough people no-show that it cut into revenue targets. Can’t have that.

I'm still mad that Florida is $25 more dollars than California. There's also 0 dates sold out except for May 4 from May 4th-10th.
I definitely understand people not feeling like it's worth the price. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan anymore but my last trip I decided to do it. It was a surprisingly emotional experience. It felt like a taste of the Starcruiser experience in that you ARE in Savi's workshop and Savi himself (is it always a him?) leads you through an almost ceremonial process of assembling your lightsaber. It's 15-20 minutes, but it really is a top notch experience. The CM playing Savi was really, really good and the lightsaber itself feels hefty and high quality. I would never try to convince someone to drop the money, but I had no regrets. My biggest worry was what I'd do with it on my flight home, but fortunately, they just let me put it in the overhead.I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum on here, but how could anyone think this is worth the price?
I think that is a rumor there quite a few large things that really can't super easily be swapped to the OT.Not to beat a dead horse, but after rewatching some of the originals for May the 4th, is anyone else still a little bummed that they didn’t base GE on the OT? I’m not into character meet and greets at all but this land would be so much cooler with Vader, Han, Luke, and Leia walking around. At least we got Chewie I guess.
Also, is it still true that RotR specifically was designed so it would be a relatively fast retheme to the original movies should they choose to do so? I could see it happening years and years down the road if they wanted to inject new life back into the area, especially if the sequel trilogy characters and movies start to fizzle out in popularity while the originals remain timeless.
Not denying those would be decently big changes, but I refuse to believe the retheme is not possible because of them. Look at Splash Mountain. By relatively fast I mean like around a year to switch over.I think that is a rumor there quite a few large things that really can't super easily be swapped to the OT.
Off the top of my head:
Sure anything is possible, but it's not as simple as changing Kylos outfit/helmet to a vader one and changin dialog.
- BB8 animatronics in the preshow
- All of the storm troopers are First Order not empire and would need to be re-skinned
- The Tie wings in the hanger are First Order
- The AT-ATs are FO

Retheme of Big Thunder confirmedTrue just find some room for a Trench Run coaster somewhere.

Looks like we are in agreement that it is possible! I was just saying I don't think ROTR was specifically designed to be a quick swap to the OT based on the specific FO stuff that would be difficult to replaceI think that is a rumor there quite a few large things that really can't super easily be swapped to the OT.
