FUNNY LINE - If anyone here has the inside scoop with "Smugglers Run" please tell me if you agree...
One of the missions you go on, you are chasing a train (like the one in "Solo") to retrieve coaxium. Along the way, Hondo is talking to you as you fly..."Let's go to Lightspeed!" - the console flashes and you pull back the lever. So, as you are chasing the train, it is guarded by 4-5 TIE Fighters (they have what appears to be 2 engines - think of a TIE Bomber) - they start shooting at you, and Hondo says "Shoot those TIE Fighters...come on, they aren't going to shoot themselves!" - LOL. Too funny.

Now you might remember that scene Disney keeps showing in the Falcon previews (see attached) where you are falling - that;s right after you bump the train and go after it for the coaxium.

Who cares about Hondo? The only reason anyone cares about the Falcon is because of Han and Chewie. Does anyone else find it odd that inside Disneyland there will be 2 attractions based around characthers starring Harrison Ford (Indy & Falcon) yet Harrison Ford has nothing to do with the rides??? Sooo odd. You think that if Disney was able to get him back as Han they could have had him re-record the dialogue for the multiple Indy AA's in Indy as part of his movie deal for Star Wars. This ride seems time line wise as such a wasted opportunity. They could have set it during the time of before episode 4 and had a Han amd Chewie AA instead of Hondo and they recruit us for a mission aboard the flacon before they ever met Luke. No instead Disney makes a AA of a characher 13 people will recognize. Can someone explain to me how this Hondo even gets the Falcon??? Ok the land is set between Last Jedi and (the horribly titled) The Rise Of Skywalker. At the end of Last Jedi it. Is pretty clear the Flacon now belongs to the Resistance in general as its new flag ship since all remaining 30 members of the reisistance are on it at the end. Or hell one could say it now belongs to Rey after Han died. And from the new trailer it obviously falls back in Lando's posession. So how did this Hondo get it from Rey or the Resistance and how do they get it back and did Hondo remodel the cockpit to add 2 additional seats? That would require a major ship remodel to a 60 plus year old ship since there was noooo room to add extra seats in it. You could barley fit the that thet had. So in The Rise of Skywalker are they gonna explain how the 2 extra seats got removed once again to only have 4. And dont say "you're being nitpicky. It's a ThEmE pArK RidE". Disney is the one who has said this is canon. So yeah details like that matter. Like why does the Kylo AA have a undamaged helmet when in Last Jedi he breaks the helmet and does not wear it again until The Rise of Skywalker when we see him repair the helmet so he can wear it again?! CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT DISNEY?! It is notba spare helmet because if it was there would be no need foe him to re-weld his damaged helmet he smashed up in Last Jedi since this land takes place between films. Again this shows Disney is not on the same page and has no idea how to run Star Wars or gets Star Wars. Also there should be no gunner spots in the cockpit. The gunner seats are down the corridor. As seen in the prev films. It would have made more sense for 4 people to pilot the cockpit and 2 to be in the gunner seats down the hall. Because fans are obviosuly going to try to look at those seats when they are waiting for their flight crew to be called up as they get to roam freely around the cabin. And they will wonder why cant they sit in the true gunner seats. Is Disney going to have the gunner area ropped off? Also the only time see guns fired from the cockpit was in Empire as Han had some aux guns come out that he controlled from the main console not seats in the back of the cockpitt. They were short range weapons and not the primary defense guns for the flacon. Yet Disney wants us tl believe you can now control the guns from the backseat instead of the seats down the hall.

It’s a shame Disney puts more value into their characters they created than the actual ones that people fell in love with Star Wars over. I am sure the 10 people who know who this character is will be over the moon though.

Han Solo, Chewbacca, or Luke would’ve been awesome as an AA but I’m glad instead we get a character from a Star Wars spinoff cartoon.

The Indiana Jones ride should’ve used a random character from the comics instead of Indiana Jones, because the “universe” of a property is all people care about 🤨

Han and Luke and Leia...dead. My money is on Chewie and R2 going down next.

Hondo being on this ride is stupid. I’ll say it. I don’t need his voice throughout the ride telling me what to do, especially if I were to ride this more than once. The technology is impressive, but a ride about piloting the Falcon should not be as unappealing as it is.

..yeah its a little offputting as a fan to hear him telling me what to do, but I get it for the non fan tourist - sure the buttons flash and they supposed to push it, but in the heat of the moment they may be too busy just watching out the window and need that nudge reminder to do something...it didn't take away from the story for me, but obviously its not the free-for-all just let me drive this thing experience either.
Like I keep telling everyone, I'm looking forward to the queue, myself. Lots to see and do.

It is Disney treating its audience as idiots and it goes to show you how this land and rides were not really thought out

Why are you yelling? We don't want another argument like last time...
Caps does not automatically mean someone is yelling. No english class will ever teach you that no matter what social media says. And lots of hastags are in caps. So how about you just give my comment a like and stop assuming things and being so easily offended.

I mean...Hondo first appeared in The Clone Wars cartoon, all the way back in 2009.

latest

That was way before Disney took over, lol

My son's (twin 17 years old's) used to watch Clone Wars back then, so they were roughly 7 years old.
My son Dean - the bigger Star Wars (as well as Avengers etc. and all other related things fan) finds Hondo's fit in the attraction to work perfectly well.
