You can fly under that in a speeder that is only 1.5m x 5.3m. Snow speeders are not very big. Besides scale is not constant thing in movies. It's there for impression not actual size.

I agree - Unlike the half size, half built one outside of WDW's Star Tours, I don't think you'll get much time to say "hey wait a minute, I don't think an imperial officer can stand fully upright in the head of that walker."

Can I just say I hope everyone is pronouncing this correctly in their heads; It is an A-Tee A-Tee. NOT an at-at.

I read on the intertubes that it's pronounced "at-ate" because when they were editing Episode IV (aka "Star Wars"), Lucas asked when they were breaking for dinner and someone answered "how about at eight". George thought that sounded kind of catchy so he made a note of it for future use and the rest is history.

I'm trying to convince myself that I'm not a giant Disney/Star Wars nerd. This talk of At-At size and pronunciation really isn't helping my delusions. Can we talk about sports or something? And no, comments like Stormtroopers aren't tall enough to be good basketball players will only make things nerdier. Thanks for your cooperation.

Alternative fact (I hear those are all the rage these days):

Dennis Muren is fascinated with the French pronunciation of Haiti so it's "ay-TEE-ay-TEE". I have a friend who is a nurse in the ER at Cedars-Sinai so it must be true!
