Interesting. There's a totally separate "fireworks score overlay" and experience in Galaxies edge?

-I'm still a bit confused what the droid does, it seems rather limited in that clip. But anything moving in Galaxies edge is a good change
-I've long speculated that something like this (a true alternative fireworks viewing area) could be achieved in Magic Kingdom with a Villains land. It would be an operational game changer
-This land still remains just one proper season of the force makeover away from feeling more lived in. Like a show, a Jedi training experience, a march of the first order type low-lying fruit.

Yes! Debuted as part of Season of the Force last month, and the score has already changed after switching to Together Forever for the summer.

There's an audio clip from the "Lore-weaver" Tohan Lege that frames the fireworks in-story and starts the show, and before they installed Bard into the land they would light the balcony he sits on top of. I assume they're just putting a diegetic reason for where the music is coming from.

Stupid and unnecessary.
Why? What's stupid about it? People complained that the show was boring and needed something special more than just a soundtrack. They install something special more than just a soundtrack. People complain it's "stupid and unnecessary"
Why? What's so stupid about adding storytelling to a land?

They don’t need an explanation for the music or backstory for the firework show. It’s a firework show with Star Wars music in Star Wars land.

It's an immersive land. How would it make sense if you were just walking through the land and suddenly the fireworks just started? It needs a story to make it make sense in the land. They want the whole land to have a story, so this has to have a story. Plus, why are you mad about extra animatronics being installed in a land? How could this possibly be a bad thing? Unless you're just salty that WDW doesn't have this, I don't understand the frustration.

WHAT? How? If the land wasn't immersive you'd be complaining. "ohh we can see backstage ohhh this isn't immersive ohhh they spent so long building a land just for it to not be immersive" but when it is immersive you say "stupid and unnecessary" that doesn't even make sense! You have to be trolling at this point there's no way. You're going on ignore

Main Street USA is a turn of the century small town with a castle at the end of it and that work fine. “Immersion” is a stupid qualifier.

All of the talk of SWGE being 'immersive' is just marketing. They literally funnel people backstage for Millenium Falcon's extended queue. And have been since 2019 (though I doubt the line gets long enough for that to really be necessary these days).

Disney's 'immersion' for the land lasted until the operational realities of the park set in.

SOOO glad Jenny Nicholson’s 4 hour review has gone so viral that the major trades are making news out of it.

Calling BS on so many things we all know but the now the executives have to acknowledge that the world knows too. (Especially the best stuff for Galaxy’s Edge was removed and “paywalled” behind the hotel part.)

My first ride in 2019 took me backstage but they had really "immersive" masking tape on the ground and I felt I was in a futuristic universe of virtual stanchions.

Adding a figure to the land that has movement is a win. This is what people wanted.

Also easy to ignore if you don’t care about it.

Ignore the trolls.
Saw it in person and the ceremony was really cool and everyone got into it and cheered.

If it's not your cup of tea then there are plenty of other places you can go. It definitely doesn't take away from the cool fireworks show there. The area around the Falcon was packed with lots of people.

I'm not saying this in any way "completes" a lacking land, but it's a great show and great addition to the land.

To be fair, Universal did the same thing with Forbidden Journey when the lines got huge - snaking it out of the queue and backstage for a bit
