THE 1HAPPY HAUNT

Bad design, blah, blah, blah. I actually really like the detailed doorways and passages. Confusing for newbie guests? Sure, but Main Street has a few of the same issues. Toontown is another one.

The Kylo Ren “show” really needs to be a show. Stunts, 50 stormtroopers and maybe a public execution.
No it does not. every building a guest is meant to enter is clearly labeled. Never once in the history of Main Street USA at Disneyland have they felt the need to put a trash can in front of a facade entrance to indicate to the guest it is a building they can not enter. And Toontown I disagree with you on too. many of the doors that dont open in Toontown are designed for you to pull the doorknob or handle and have a wacky sound effect or sound go off by design.

I probably shouldn’t have said Main Street. There’s only like a few doors that don’t open.

I agree. GE needs doors that make wacky sci-fi sounds when you try to enter.

Actually, that would look really nice if it had small English translations underneath, and would go a long way towards making the concrete feel like a real location.

They actually have signs in Batuu that have English at the top and Aurebesch at the bottom. Here is the picture:

They could have a warning sign on one of the non-doors that say something along the lines of "Wampa holding facility," with Wampa sounds coming from inside; a reference to the deleted scene from Empire Strikes Back.

Wampas are from Hoth and do not exist in Batuu and are from the time period when Luke, Han, and Vader were alive so that also won't work. Therefore, you get a rusted, closed door. Enjoy your immersion!

Hence why I said "along the lines of." Who says Batuu can't have a monster like wampas or rancors? There's already that cat thing from Geonsis' head mounted on the wall in Dok Ondar's.

They could have heads of all of the dead Star Wars characters that aren't in the land mounted on the wall - Luke, Han, Yoda, Vader, Obi-Wan, Admiral Ackbar. Darth Maul. The kids would love it!

Meanwhile at Oga and Savi's....

The Wampas could be there on vacation and were perhaps detained by the First Order for some reason or like part of a traveling circus or something. Have you no imagination! 🤪

Wampas could exist in the polar regions of Batuu. Just because they don't exist in a small town in the middle of nowhere, doesn't mean they aren't there.

A little known bit of trivia is that the White Wampa ale at Oga’s gets its name because it is actually made by fermenting exotic grains in juvenile wampa horns. It is a very time consuming process due to the small stature of their horns and limited number of suitable wampas roaming the planet...which explains the price. Also of note, these horns can only be harvested for beer making in the polar regions of Batuu. Wampa horns from all other known planets are only good for making party horns and back scratchers.

no because tatooine is a known place and we would have expected it to be that way ahead of time and would be upset if it was not like it. and there would be alot more we could do and experience at tatooine than this land. tatooine would be a funner location

Tatooine is drab and boring looking. Also, you suggest an AA Sarlac Pit; just how big is this Star Wars Land? The Sarlac Pit was in the middle of nowhere, it would feel really weird to have the vast expanses of Tatooine be crammed next to one another. As for visiting the cantina from Episode IV. Go back and watch the scene, that set was pretty barren and not too exciting. It was the aliens in the cantina which gave it life and created the memory. The most interesting feature of the Mos Isley Cantina was the IG-88-style drink dispensers, which we have at the cantina in GE.

This is what we would have gotten. Yay. Look how inviting this looks. Can't wait to hang out here for 2 hours.

This is a best case scenario. Yes, the crashed ship is cool, but look at those buildings. The same pueblo style boxes with domed roofs and support walls jutting out. Repeated over and over. And all a lovely shade of dirt. To match the dirt ground. Wow. That's photogenic. Hope they sell parasols on Tatooine.

I don't know... something about the "interactive desert" motif just doesn't really work for me.

Plainly it should have been Courscant.

I don't see how a theme park would be able to pull off the scale of Coruscant as a walk-around experience. To fly through it with the use of projection/miniatures in an experience would certainly work, but in a land, I don't see how they could give the impression of such a place from the ground level.

Forced perspective. Not sure if you've been to GE or not, but the "scale" and feel of the mountains aren't much to be written home about (imo). At some places near the ROTR area, its hard to even see the ranges near the Falcon (by design or not, I don't know).

At any rate, at least its more visually striking to look at than beige.

They could have done Alderaan and just made the land a pile of smoking rocks...

All jokes aside, other than doing indoor sets, I don't think they could have done better with choosing a location for the land. Star Wars locations are just gonna be next to impossible to pull off imo. Just add the outside animatronics, roaming droids and characters, and overhead drones along with some Star Wars music and it will be a hit with most people I think. The RotR ride will have what I think could have been a great land in and of itself and that is the inside of a Star Destroyer. jmo.
