Those custom shaped Coca-Cola containers remind me of the thermal detonator Princess Leia used to threaten Jabba the Hutt with in 'Return of the Jedi'.

Yeah, they remind me of explosive devises.
Just what one wants to be thinking about while at Disneyland Park.
:|

Being serious now for a brief moment....
Yes, those containers are rather neat.
The 'Star Wars' geeks and Disney dweebs must be wetting themselves with glee.
I agree with others here in that I'd be surprised to see those last longer then a
year or two.
These will be the new 'popcorn bucket' score upon release....

Han is dead.

SW:GE respects theme parks as their own medium. I realize some people just wanted a CM dress up Luke on Tatooine. But this respects parks as their own art form and not merely a set re-creation of that movie you watched.

That was the difference in how this expansion evolved over years that they designed it. From a Tatooine roller-coaster to its own actual true cannon extension.

Also Han is dead.

One of the cannon problems with having Han or Chewie is... why exactly would they let 6 strangers pilot their ship and not themselves? That's probably why the imagineers decided to separate them out... plus Han is dead.

Yes, but did he shoot first? And is SW:GE bigger in CA or FL?

I collect (and, as people like @TROR know, I have a special affinity for) Coke stuff, so the new bottles have me excited. I applaud Coca-Cola for having a bit of fun with their brand to keep things consistent in Galaxy's Edge.

Like hiring Raymond Loewy, the "father of American industrial design" (including the Air Force One livery) to design many iconic innovations.

Star Wars Galaxy Edge Panel

Thanks for this! I saw how long it was and I thought I was just going to scan through bits and pieces of it and I ended up watching the entire hour and twenty four mins lol. They actually went in depth and gave us more surprises I didn't know. I think I was one of the first people here to suggest there might be a panel on SWL at Celebration this year and I'm happy they went all out for it. It sounds and looks incredible, all of it. I don't even need to see it right away because its going to be there for the rest of my life to cherish. And if what they are saying is true and they will constantly add and change with future movies, shows, books and etc I guess SWL will never be complete either. Six weeks to go kids!

LONG post but worth it... (I hope you think so)

Queue Line for the "Smugglers Run" ride. You will explore every inch of the mountain behind the Falcon as you wind around the queue line and eventually get to pilot the ship!

You enter the tower and the lines are split into "Standby", "Fastpass", and yes..."Single Rider"
You wind around the back of the ship, on the first floor, to the other side of the mountain. Here, you will go up a set of stairs - ADA riders have an elevator. You can see the Falcon through windows behind the ship as you wind around.

After getting to the second floor, you will wind back around the Falcon again, where you can see it again through the windows.
At this point, you will see Hondo explaining that he needs to recruit YOU to help him with a mission! His droid companion will "summon" the Falcon and you will see it take off from outside, turn around, and land inside the mountain, waiting for you to board it!

You continue on to the airlock docking ring between the Falcon and Hondo's base of operations. Head on into the Falcon and there's the iconic Dejarik (chess) room.

Here you will be assigned jobs within your group of 6. You will hang out here for 2-3 minutes, take pictures, check everything out, before being called down the hallway to the cockpit.

The CMs will help you get seated and strapped in for the mission. Once the crew is ready, Hondo will be your guide.
Besides the flashing buttons that you need to push, you will hear Hondo helping you through the mission - "Let's go to Lightspeed" and maybe he'll encourage you to shoot some TIE Fighters, kind of a "Alexa" assistant.

Once your mission has been completed, you will return to Hondo's base and land inside where you started.
Everyone exits the cockpit, but instead of going back through the Dejarik (chess) room where you came in, you will exit through the other docking ring, above the Falcon boarding ramp.

Remember, you are on the second floor, so the ramp is too far off the ground to use. You will exit out of the ship, follow the marked pathway to another set of stairs to head downwards. ADA again will have an elevator.
Once downstairs you will exit a long hallway and out of a uncovered air shaft, next to the entrance.

Also it would be very stupid for a random droid to be suddenly able to summon the Falcon when in the entire history of STAR WARS it takes a actual pilot in the cockpit to make the Falcon fly. Also very stupid if they have the physical Falcon be parked then in the show building fly from that spot via a random droid to park in another spot. If that was the goal and if the exit is via a port and ADA exits via an elevator it would have made more sense for the physical flacon to be inside the show building and you enter via the ramp except for ADA which take an elevator. If the they take an elevator to exit the ride then they could take an elevator to enter it and everyone else go up the iconic ramp. Again, Disney has NO IDEA HOW TO HANDLE STAR WARS.

True, but if you're a business and bought a property that you don't fully control. Do you promote something you don't fully control, or do you promote everything that came after that is yours and you fully control? A smart business would promote the stuff they fully control not involving another company, this is what Disney did.

I was only talking about control of the movies, not the promotion of new vs old.

Tesla uploaded summon on their cars, why can't they do the same to the Falcon. I guess it was a Long Time Ago though.

no fastpass when the land opens in no way means no fastpass ever
Maybe but all queue lines will be used for standy when it opens so there will be no single rider or fastpass so no castmemeber will guide you into a diff queue. Hell, the ride could be like pirates and never require a fastpass. I call B.S. on the different queues when the ride opens is what my argument is.

Geez dude. The vast majority of @SWGalaxysEdge's post is corroborated by reports from the February media blitz. The land may open without Fastpass, but it'd make sense to have the infrastructure in place in advance. And lastly, you gotta chill out. It's a freakin' theme park. They can remote call the Falcon without hurting anybody.
