Details for the virtual queue to get into Galaxy's Edge:

But this sounds a little weird...."Disneyland will instead stack the next incoming group of visitors in that exterior queue, then load the land once that group is filled, so that the land does not drop below capacity."
I assumed the virtual queue would be similar to a fast pass where guests tickled in, but this sounds more like the WoC holding areas. I'm envisioning stampedes of people running to Smuggler's Run.
Now if they can outlaw vape stores or at least enforce the over 21 rule for buying tobacco products. It’s amazing though the turn around with smoking laws in CA. I remember as a kid I was inhaling clouds of smoke everywhere in the late 80s/ early 90s. Worst of all, was in the car with my grandpa on the way to the Santa Anita Race Track.
It's funny California hates smoking but pot is okay with forged fake doctor's signature.
Well, guest overflow would theoretically be possible in the Universal model if they had semi-themed walls up to 8-10 feet and some kind of canvas cover overhead. But I always viewed this corner as service area when viewing it from the top of Mickey & Friends.
The way its laid out it doesn't look like a normal guest overflow area. It looks like a CM break area or like you said a service/maintenance area that just happens to also have bathrooms.
thatsracist.gifOh I thought that was Finn.

I think the outdoor portion is service, but we'll see. I hope they're providing an indoor break room and lead office next to those restrooms, but who knows? Disney is getting notoriously stingy with break rooms.
I would assume there are break rooms somewhere, I thought I remember them being in that temp warehouse building next to the Falcon.
This is why I get my rumors from WDWMagic and not Micechat...So, Westsider from MiceChat has been wrong about:
- Can't find CMs to work SWL.
- RotR is having huge issues (disputed by @marni1971)
- There will be a standby line for SWL along with the reservation (disputed by several reports out today).

This. There is actually some truth to SWGE’s undesirable reputation among cast members. I don’t think it’s as bad as Westsider thinks it is, but he didn’t just make it up. So yeah, hyperbole.Well to be fair 2 and 3 are still up in the air and #1 I kind of took as Hyperbole. It’s also a fluid situation that can change. And just cause CMs didn’t “want” to work SWL doesn’t mean they could turn it down... unless they want to lose their job. There are plenty of projects I didn’t want to work at my old job but I worked on every single one of them. Lol
Disneyland expanding parking, changing visitor rules to prepare for 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge'
Link to ABC7 story.
***
PARKING:
The park is adding a Pixar Pals parking structure with more than 5,000 spaces. It's slated to open by the end of July and will include an electronic parking system to help people find spaces quickly.
The existing Toy Story lot will also add more than 2,000 additional spaces, with more entrances.
Security screening will be set up before guests board the Toy Story parking shuttle, so they won't have to wait for screening in the Esplanade area during busy times.
STROLLER SIZE:
Currently, strollers are allowed with dimensions no bigger than 36" by 52." That allowable dimension will change to 31" by 52."
Disneyland will also enforce the "no wagons" policy inside the park to help with crowd flow.
SMOKING:
Disneyland and California Adventure currently each have one designated smoking area. Those areas will be eliminated and smoking will only be allowed outside the secure areas of the Esplanade.
That essentially will make Disneyland a smoke-free resort as of May 1.
GALAXY'S EDGE ADMISSION AND RESERVATIONS:
Reservations - at no extra charge - will be required to visit the Star Wars attraction when it first opens until June 23.
After June 23, a boarding pass system with group-based admission times will be established so that people won't have to wait in line for "Galaxy's Edge."
