..the preshow will make you think you ARE boarding THAT Falcon. You'll at some point look outside of the show building at what you think is the same ship, and see it lower underground. That's what you "board it" and have your adventure, think you are landing back where you started and get off. Come to the Edge... SWGalaxysEdge.com
is that a site that has more details on the ride que and experience itself than what has been reported here?

UPDATE: Just re read your response and saw you used POTC as your example but same rules applies, once I am on the boat any thing weather related is fine because I walked into a building and got on a boat and down a waterfall that takes me back in time.
What about before the waterfall? You are in the same time period as you entered the building (New Orleans sometime after the Louisiana Purchase, but before the Civil War). How has the time of Day changed then, if we haven’t time traveled yet? 0/10 not immersive enough, needs more chili dog smell, stinkbug smell, and Figment skunk smell.

I am not saying it is going to completely ruin my immersion or ruin the ride as a whole for me but it is something that is going to stick out to me for sure. all I am saying is it would have been nice if more creativity was placed into it and we were able to board the physical falcon. again just my 2 cents.

I get what you are saying and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But at the same time you have to realize there are still so many unknowns about this attraction, the queue, and the land as a whole. So while you keep saying things like "it'll take me out of my immersion" or "it'll stick out for me", you don't really know that yet. We are still 6-7 months away from the land opening. Several people, myself included, have provided potential ways they could still provide an immersive experience without actually boarding the physical model outside. It just seems though like you have it set in your mind that unless we enter that exact physical model that its already something that "sticks out". All I'm saying is take a step back and wait, you may actually be pleasantly surprised or maybe even wowed by how the queue gets you into the Falcon. And if the Imagineers have done their job right at the end of the day it won't even matter there is a physical model standing outside.

From those nice boys over at Westcoaster.net, here's a fun recent photo and unique view of Star Wars Land from the 6th floor of the parking structure... https://www.westcoaster.net/home/20...-the-things-we-missed-during-halloween-season

Plus continuing work on backdrop rooftop scenery on the ride warehouses for Star Wars Land... And you get a spire, and you get a spire...

I'm starting to really dislike that you can see exposed beams and supports for the rock work when you're entering the resort. Hopefully they can figure something out because it's not the best greeting. Really ruins the illusion right up front.

But can you see that from the ground?

Remember when Disney used to design their attraction facades to be visible from every visible angle, and make every effort to hide the showbuildings from guest view both inside and outside the park?

Those were the days.

You can see Indiana Jones Adventure from the Esplanade but you don't know what it is. For all you know it's just a building. You don't know a ride is in there. Seeing the supports of the rocks is very different because you can see exactly what it is.

It's also as hidden as a building that size could be, and painted in such a way to not draw attention.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but it looks like the Google Earth image over DLR was updated.

EDIT: Just looked around the image and it looks to be from last spring, given the state of Pixar Pier and the Cleo garage.

non of the buildings are actually themed in the back side, The Pirates Building and Huanted Mansion buildign are just painted green and are visible from the outside as are the Splash mountain building and Indiana Jones. Even the old America sings building i not themed from the back and seen when riding the railroad. The only one that really has a themed back is Space Mountain and only the visible area from Mainstreet
